Louisville does not have a dedicated non-alcoholic bottle shop. That is a real gap in a metro of well over a million people, and it is the single biggest structural difference between this city's alcohol-free scene and those of comparable metros like Grand Rapids or Indianapolis, both of which have shops selling nothing but zero-proof. The nearest Louisville comes is The Breeze: a coffee bar and wine shop in Shelby Park, run by Sarah Height and Chelsea Moore, which carries a working range of non-alcoholic wines and spirits alongside its main trade in natural, low-intervention wine — including a non-alcoholic Kentucky bourbon, which is the obvious thing to want here and surprisingly hard to buy off a shelf locally.

The shop's own framing is that it runs from am to pm: espresso in the morning from Deeper Roots, the Cincinnati roaster widely rated that city's best, and wine retail through the day, with the natural-wine selection described by the owners as the biggest in Louisville. Its focus is on environmentally sustainable, naturally fermented, additive-free bottles from small farmers and producers. The pairing with Canary Club, the owners' natural wine bar immediately next door, means you can taste something in the bar and buy it in the shop, or the reverse.

One point of confusion worth heading off, because it appears in current listings: The Breeze began in 2019 as a wine bar inside Logan Street Market at 1001 Logan Street, and that original unit is closed — Yelp still carries the Logan Street listing with a CLOSED flag, which reads as though the business has folded. It has not; it moved to Shelby Park alongside Canary Club and is trading. Go to the Shelby Street address. For a non-drinker the practical value is morning-to-evening range: this is one of the few places in Louisville where you can start with coffee, browse alcohol-free bottles, and end up somewhere with late hours next door without ever ordering a drink you did not want. Set expectations correctly, though: this is a wine shop that also stocks alcohol-free bottles, not a dedicated non-alcoholic retailer. The zero-proof range is a shelf rather than a department, the staff expertise runs deepest on natural wine, and you will not find the forty-bottle spread that a specialist shop in a comparable city would carry. Treat it as the best available option in a metro that does not yet have a proper non-alcoholic bottle shop — and, given how quickly the category is growing, as the most likely place in Louisville for one to appear.
