Uchiko

Uchiko trades at 1759 Purdy Avenue in Sunset Harbour, the low-rise pocket of Miami Beach around the Purdy Avenue marina, away from the Ocean Drive strip. It is the sibling concept to Uchi — the same Japanese restaurant group, a different menu — and unlike the Wynwood location it does not open for lunch: service runs from 5pm to 11pm, seven nights a week. For anyone building an evening on the Beach without drinking, the practical advantage of Sunset Harbour is that it is a walkable few blocks of restaurants rather than a strip of clubs.

The bar's alcohol-free section is short but properly constructed. The Akabanaa is the anchor: Ritual Tequila Alternative with lime and a hibiscus agave, a build that uses the bite of the non-alcoholic spirit and the tartness of hibiscus to keep the drink from reading as a soft drink. The Raba, which also appears in a slightly different form on the Wynwood menu, is described as the cleaner and tangier of the two. RESIDENT covered the restaurant in its December 2025 Miami round-up and wrote that the zero-proof selections reflect the restaurant's refined approach to flavour, and that they are built to complement the menu rather than compete with it.
