Tucked below Pike Place Market on the Pike Street Hillclimb, Zig Zag Café is one of Seattle's most influential cocktail bars, widely credited with reviving the Last Word cocktail in the early 2000s under bartender Murray Stenson. It remains a destination for classic and craft cocktails in an intimate, candlelit space overlooking Elliott Bay, paired with oysters and a small New American menu.
Zig Zag maintains a dedicated "Zero Proof" section of cocktails. Rather than fruit-juice placeholders, the bar builds these with genuine non-alcoholic spirits — including Dr. Zero Zero N/A Amaro, New London Light's Midnight Sun aperitif and Yu No NA gin — so spirit-free guests get composed, spirit-forward drinks in line with the rest of the menu.
