Dray is a 100% non-alcoholic bottle shop at 18 Union Park Street in Boston's South End, opened in late 2023 by founder Pat Dooling and reported at the time as the city's first dedicated alcohol-free retail store. Nothing in the shop contains meaningful alcohol: the range is built to mirror a conventional wine and spirits merchant, and Dray's own catalogue currently lists roughly 138 non-alcoholic beers, 83 non-alcoholic wines, 63 zero-proof spirits, 45 ready-to-drink cocktails and a further 19 mixers and accessories. Staff work as advisers rather than clerks, steering customers between categories, and the shop runs tastings and community events. It trades Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 8pm and is closed Mondays. A second Dray opened in Central Square, Cambridge.

Nothing on the shelves contains meaningful alcohol. Staff advise by flavour and occasion rather than by brand, and the shop trades Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 8pm, closed Mondays.

Søbr Market is a fully non-alcoholic bottle shop and tasting bar on the lower level of Wellington Market, the food hall inside The Well, in Toronto's King West/Fashion District. The Toronto location relocated here at the end of 2025 after opening on Richmond Street, and functions as a retail shop rather than a full bar - every bottle, can, and pour on the shelves is zero-proof. Shoppers can still sit at the in-store tasting bar to sample spirits and de-alcoholized wines before buying, including brands like Lyre's, Ghia, Free Spirits, and Dr. Zero Zero.

Verbena Free Spirited opened in July 2023 at 1434 W. 29th Street, the Hingetown storefront that previously housed Cleveland Tea Revival, and remains the first gathering space in the city to be entirely alcohol-free. Founder Molly Cheraso reassessed her own relationship with alcohol during the pandemic, found that the non-alcoholic products she wanted were not sold anywhere in Cleveland, and spent a year researching the category before signing a lease. What she built is three businesses in one room: a daytime cafe of Duck Rabbit espresso, loose-leaf tea and house-made vegan-friendly food; a bar switching in the evening to built free-spirited cocktails at $8 to $9; and a Bottle Shoppe carrying roughly a hundred products — non-alcoholic spirits, de-alcoholised wine, zero-proof aperitifs and functional drinks. Some bar builds use kava-based ingredients, which the menu labels.

ZERO Cocktail Bar bills itself as Canada's first non-alcoholic cocktail bar, pairing a full bar with an in-house bottle shop on Carlton Street in Toronto's Cabbagetown. The menu runs to fourteen named zero-proof cocktails - from a Power Serve of alternative whiskey and ginger beer to a Sorrel Negroni of hibiscus and spiced sorrel - built on NA brands including Free Spirits, Ghia, DR ZERO and Noughty. A retail bottle shop stocks NA wines, beers and alternative spirits alongside a café menu of hot and cold coffee drinks and pub food like loaded fries and grilled cheese.

Midnight Morning is an all-day cafe, bar and restaurant at 14 Birch Street in Roslindale Village, opened in 2023 by owner Virginia Schubert in the space that had long housed Birch Street Bistro. Schubert worked in design before moving into hospitality, and the business is certified with the City of Boston as a Minority Business Enterprise, Woman Business Enterprise and Small Local Business Enterprise. The kitchen, led by executive chef Rory Lee, runs a made-from-scratch seasonal menu across breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The bar keeps a standing Zero Proof section of four cocktails at $10, all built on non-alcoholic spirits rather than juice: Remember Me with AMASS Riverine, Bad Decisions with Everleaf Forest, Threat Level Midnight with Zero Zero Amaro and cold brew, and the Arbore'rum with Ritual Proof Rum. Two non-alcoholic beers are poured alongside them.

Point Easy is a chef-driven New American restaurant in Denver's Whittier neighborhood, opened on June 29, 2022 in the former Whittier Pub space at the corner of East 28th Avenue and Williams Street. The owners are Andy Bruch and brothers Dan and Dennis "Denn" Phelps, alumni of the Kitchen Restaurant Group in Boulder who had developed the concept years before the pandemic delayed it; Denn Phelps, who wrote the opening menu, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2022, weeks after the doors opened, and the team has run the restaurant in his memory since. The kitchen is now led by executive chef Reuben Tomlins, with Richard Long as general manager. The menu is seasonal and farm-driven with a house-made pasta program, and the wine list favours biodynamic and small-producer bottles. The bar keeps a headed 0% ABV section of six drinks on its own published menu, from a fermented pineapple tepache and a Colorado-made non-alcoholic crabapple cider to cocktails built on Dr Zero Zero amaro, Citadel non-alcoholic gin and Giffard elderflower non-alcoholic liqueur, and the bar's Get Fed service will build a drink to a guest's stated preferences.

Zig Zag Café is a landmark cocktail bar at 1501 Western Avenue on the Pike Place Market hillclimb, open since 1999 and housed in the 1910 Fix-Madore Building. It is internationally recognised as a pioneer of the classic cocktail revival, and it is where bartender Murray Stenson rediscovered the Last Word — a Prohibition-era drink that had fallen out of memory after the Second World War, which he found in a 1951 book and put back on a menu, from where it spread to New York, San Francisco, London and eventually everywhere. Its own description of the room is accurate: a low, sultry glow over the dining room, a verdant patio, and a house soundtrack of jazz, cumbia and highlife. Its non-alcoholic drinks are printed under "Zero Proof Drinks" at a flat $15: Daybreak (Yu No non-alcoholic gin, lemon, pineapple cordial, Giffard non-alcoholic spritz liqueur), Jardin Sauvage (mint, lime, ginger, Midnight Sun non-alcoholic aperitif), Rose-Colored Glasses (Roots non-alcoholic bianco vermouth, grenadine, grapefruit, bitters, non-alcoholic sparkling wine) and Dark Horse (Dr. Zero Zero non-alcoholic amaro, lime cordial, Giffard aperitif syrup). Open 5pm to midnight daily; 21+. Live jazz Sunday to Wednesday.
