Apothéke is an apothecary-themed bar at the edge of Chinatown, the West Coast spinoff of New York City's original Apothéke. True to the pharmacy theme, cocktails are organized into "cures" for what ails you — stress relievers, stimulants, pain killers and euphorics — built from produce, tinctures and bitters such as cantaloupe, bee pollen, bell pepper, sage, coconut charcoal and a honeyed chamomile cordial. There is no dedicated zero-proof menu, but The Infatuation notes that any cocktail here can be made into a mocktail, citing The Healer (spinach, celery, ginger, apple) and the more intense Baron's Cure (black tea, allspice, star anise). The dimly lit, design-award-winning space adds a spacious patio and weekend DJ sets.

Non-alcoholic menu: what to order

  • The Healer (spinach, celery, ginger, apple — made non-alcoholic)
  • The Baron's Cure (black tea, allspice, star anise — made non-alcoholic)

Menus change — see the current full menu on Apothéke's website.

We appreciate that any cocktail on the menu here can be made into a mocktail. The Healer is similar to green juice with spinach, celery, ginger, and apple, while the Baron's Cure has more intensity with black tea, allspice, and star anise.
