Bar Pigalle opened in June 2022 inside the Carlton Lofts on John R Street in Brush Park, a building designed by architect Louis Kamper that was the backdrop for one of Detroit's hottest jazz rooms in the 1920s and '30s. The name and concept play off Brush Park's own history as a onetime hub of French immigrant life, once nicknamed "Little Paris." Managing Partner Travis Fourmont, an award-winning mixologist, runs the bar program; the kitchen turns out "playfully modern French fare" under Executive Chef Partner Norman Valenti.
The summer 2026 cocktail menu gives non-alcoholic drinks their own printed section, priced and presented alongside the boozy list rather than tacked on as an afterthought. Clean Slate ($15) is built on Lyre's Italian Spritz with blueberry, lemon, and Casamara Club Alta; Wishful Thinking ($10) mixes NA Amaro Lucano with honeycrisp apple, raspberry, and ginger ale; Plot Twist ($9) is a pomegranate vinegar shrub finished with sparkling lemonade. Hour Detroit's January 2024 mocktail roundup documented a different rotating pair on that season's menu — a Dhos-based Pigalle Bitter Spritz and an N/A Skeleton Key made with Kentucky 74 NA whiskey — confirming the alcohol-free section is a standing fixture that turns over with the seasonal menu rather than a one-off gesture.
Bar Pigalle takes reservations through Resy and sits in the heart of Brush Park, Detroit's fast-redeveloping historic district between downtown and Midtown. It's open seven nights a week: Monday through Thursday 5–10pm, Friday and Saturday 5–11pm, and Sunday 4–9pm.
