Bar None is a zero-proof evening bar in Chicago's West Loop, running Friday to Sunday from 5pm to 11pm inside Froth, the coffee cafe in the lobby of The Duncan at 1515 W Monroe St. It launched on 28 February 2026 from Heritage Hospitality Group, the team behind Froth, with beverage director Luke Nevin-Gattle (previously Bunker and Larry's). Every cocktail is genuinely alcohol-free, built on real NA spirits at $13 — a St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, an espresso martini with Ritual rum alternative and Pathfinder, Good Vibrations with Ritual gin alternative and Giffard elderflower, a spicy margarita with Ritual agave and Lyre's Italian orange, and a Gold Rush — alongside nine non-alcoholic beers and ciders at $6 and Leitz Eins Zwei Zero wines at $9. IMPORTANT: the venue brands itself a THC-integrated sober lounge. Any cocktail can be upgraded with a 2.5mg THC microdose for $4, and it sells 5mg THC seltzers at $9. The alcohol-free drinks stand on their own, but anyone avoiding all intoxicants should order without the upgrade and skip the seltzers.

Beyond Proof is a fully alcohol-free craft cocktail bar at 597 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, opened in April 2026 by Krista Kranyak, who converted her own long-running restaurant Ten Tables into what is widely reported as Boston's first zero-proof bar. Every drink is built at 0% ABV and the list is organised into sections headed Florals, Groundings, Rewritten Classics, Awakenings and Simple Sips, with straight $9 pours of zero-proof tequila, gin, vodka, bourbon and mezcal for guests who want something plainer. The kitchen serves a Lebanese and Mediterranean mezze menu of hummus boards, fire-roasted carrots, saffron tahdig bites, knafeh and slow-cooked pots. One drink, the Settle, is made with kava, a psychoactive root, which the bar names openly on the menu.

Cheeky & Dry is Seattle's first and only fully alcohol-free bottle shop, a 750-square-foot family-owned store at 6120 Phinney Ave N opened in November 2023 by Kirstin and Yura Vracko. Kirstin started it after her husband went to rehab for alcohol use and she stopped drinking in solidarity with him, looking for products that would carry her through the ritual of a drink at night — she has said she built the shop she wished existed. Its own rule is absolute: every bottle is 0.5% ABV or less. The catalogue runs to roughly 250 products across non-alcoholic spirits (gin, whiskey, agave, aperitivo), wines still and sparkling, beers, ready-to-drink cocktails, mixers and bitters, with brands including Pathfinder, Three Spirit, Little Saints, Parch, Aplos, Free Spirits, Leilo and Opius. There is a counter for tasting samples before you buy. NOTE FOR ANYONE AVOIDING ALL INTOXICANTS: we checked the full catalogue and found no THC at all, but it does stock kava products, one kava-and-kratom elixir, and one CBD coffee at 25mg per serving.

Good News Bar is San Diego's first dedicated 100% alcohol-free bar, opened in Hillcrest in mid-July 2025 with an integrated non-alcoholic bottle shop. The concept was created by married former bartenders Kaylee and Crystal Clark, who left drinking behind in recovery; since August 2025 the bar has been operated by its majority owner, Ality Richardson. It is named after Mac Miller's song "Good News" and frames itself around raising awareness of addiction and mental health. The house line is coffee by day, cocktails by night, community always: mornings bring coffee, tea, functional cocktails and freshly baked pastries, while evenings run "functional" cocktails built around adaptogens, nootropics, nervines, kava and hemp-derived CBD alongside "free-spirited" builds that reimagine classics with non-alcoholic spirits, plus apéritifs, dealcoholized wines, NA beers and cider. Signature zero-proof drinks include The Merry Go Round, The Woods, Deborah Downer and Goosebumpz. Trivia, live music and DJ nights fill the calendar.

Killjoy is Nashville's first booze-free beverage shop, founded by Stephanie Styll, who stopped drinking at the end of 2020. It launched in 2023 as a hidden 200-square-foot space in Wedgewood-Houston before relocating in November 2024 to a storefront in The Shoppes on Fatherland in East Nashville. The shelves are entirely alcohol-free: NA beer, still and sparkling wine, zero-proof spirits, ready-to-drink cocktails, plus kava, adaptogens, and THC/CBD drinks, with a knowledgeable team to guide customers through the selection. Confirmed brands on its own store include Athletic Brewing, Best Day Brewing, Go Brewing, Untitled Art, Dromme, and Prima Pavé. Killjoy was named among the country's top nonalcoholic bottle shops by Wine Enthusiast, and Styll won a NEXT Award from the Nashville Entrepreneur Center in 2024. It runs frequent Dry January tastings and sober-social events.

Killjoy Berry Hill is the second location of Killjoy, the alcohol-free bottle shop founded by Stephanie Styll, who stopped drinking in 2020 and launched the business in 2023. After starting as a Wedgewood-Houston pop-up and opening a retail store in East Nashville, Styll expanded to Berry Hill — the neighborhood where the idea began — opening this roughly 1,000-square-foot shop in October 2025. Like the East Nashville store, it sells exclusively non-alcoholic beer, wine, spirits, and functional beverages (including adaptogenic, THC/CBD, and herbal drinks), and offers on-site sampling so customers can taste before buying. Killjoy bills itself as Nashville's first booze-free beverage shop and, per Styll, the only alcohol-free retail business of its kind in the city. The shop's stated mission is to help change the culture around drinking in Nashville.

A Lindale Park cantina and cocktail bar from Barrel of Monkeys Hospitality, known for Mexican-American bar food and one of Houston's most decorated zero-proof programs — its "Free-Spirited" menu won Houston Press's Best of Houston 2025 award for Best Mocktail List.

Roll Up Herbal Bar is a dedicated zero-proof cocktail lounge beside the Gateway to the Smokies arch on Main Street in downtown Waynesville, about thirty miles west of Asheville. It serves mocktails exclusively, crafted with herbal infusions and house-made mixes and designed to either calm or energise. Its owner, Sam, is unusually clear about why it exists: she started it for one reason, to provide culinary beverages for people who are not drinking alcohol but crave the complexity of a well-crafted cocktail. She is an experienced bartender, and also an artist and a former theatre kid, which she says is why the drinks are built to look as good as they taste. The room is a small oasis — comfortable seating, magical décor, and a patio shaded by tall oaks — and it is a sit-down tasting lounge rather than a pop-up, typically open Thursday to Saturday from noon. It anchors the alcohol-free scene at that end of the region.

Soberish is an alcohol-free bottle shop and wellness boutique in Atlanta's Kirkwood neighborhood, founded in August 2023 by real estate attorney and entrepreneur Mehrnush Saadat. Built around the idea that "sober" means something different to everyone, the shop curates a predominantly women-owned selection of non-alcoholic spirits, de-alcoholized wines, aperitifs, and zero-proof beer alongside cannabis and CBD wellness products, barware, and gifts. Saadat personally vets ingredients for natural, low-sugar quality, and the store leans heavily on education, hosting weekly Saturday tastings so guests can sample before buying. Confirmed brands on the shelves include St. Agrestis (Phony Negroni), Lyre's, De Soi, Figlia, and Best Day Brewing. After celebrating its first anniversary in 2024, Soberish expanded with a second location at Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills.

Alley Twenty Six is downtown Durham's serious cocktail bar, and its non-alcoholic list is developed with the same discipline as the alcoholic one. Owner Shannon Healy and his bartenders hold experimental sessions on Thursday mornings building syrups and tinctures specifically for zero-proof drinks, and the bar keeps around twenty house-made tonics that underpin both sides of the menu. The current "Non-Alcohol" section runs four builds and is refreshed seasonally.

Amba sits on West 28th Street in Hingetown, the compact Ohio City block that also holds Verbena and Jukebox, and is the Indian-influenced restaurant in Douglas Katz and Todd Thompson's Edgewater Hospitality group — the same operation behind Zhug in Cleveland Heights. Chef Cameron McCaulley runs the kitchen, and the cooking works through spice, acid and fermentation rather than heat alone, which turns out to be the same logic driving the drinks list. Three named non-alcoholic builds sit as a standing section, each written out with its ingredients the way the cocktails are: the cumin-and-black-salt Nimbu Masala, the colour-shifting Blue Bergamot, and the Spiced Nectar at $13 on a citrus-forward zero-proof spirit. Best Day Brewing's non-alcoholic kölsch is $7 alongside the full-strength taps. Dinner only, Monday through Saturday.

Anina is a tropical, plant-filled bar on Hayes Street in Hayes Valley, trading to 1am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and known for a rum-heavy, botanical cocktail list and shareable punchbowls. Its alcohol-free drinks sit under a menu heading simply marked zero proof, and they are priced from $7 to $13 against $15 to $17 for the full-proof cocktails. The section lists Six of Cups, built on Floreale L'Aperitivo with lemon, honey and cucumber tonic; a Pathfinder Spritz made with the fermented and distilled hemp spirit; St. Agrestis's Phony Negroni; and a Juice Shop pineapple mint tonic of sparkling spring water, cold-pressed pineapple and pear juice, mint, blue spirulina and eleuthero. Athletic Run Wild, Best Day Kölsch and Leitz Eins Zwei Zero sparkling rosé fill out the list.
