2020

Guinness 0.0 is the non-alcoholic version of Guinness's iconic Irish dry stout, brewed at the historic St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin. Diageo announced the product on 22 October 2020 following a four-year development effort by St. James's Gate's technical and innovation teams. After an early-batch recall, it was relaunched in 2021 and has since rolled out across Great Britain, Ireland, the US and other markets.

It is made the same way as standard Guinness — using water, malted barley, roasted barley, hops and yeast — and the alcohol is then gently removed via a cold filtration process that avoids the thermal stress of heat-based methods, preserving flavor. The result pours dark ruby red with a creamy head and carries the brand's signature hints of chocolate and coffee balanced by bitter, sweet and roasted notes. Per the official Guinness nutrition data it contains 17 kcal per 100ml — roughly 70 to 75 calories in a 440ml can, less than half the calories of regular Guinness Draught.

It is sold as 0.0% / "0% ABV" alcohol-free stout, primarily in 440ml four-packs in the UK and Ireland and in widget-equipped nitro cans (14.9oz, equivalent to 440ml) in the US, where it is marketed simply as "Guinness 0." Global brand director Gráinne Wafer described it at launch as an alcohol-free beer that is "100% Guinness but 0% alcohol."

Named pours include a St. Agrestis Phony Negroni and the house "Good Vibrations," plus an alcohol-free espresso martini, a spicy margarita, and a gold rush. The list also carries Leitz non-alcoholic wines, Guinness 0, and rotating Wynk THC seltzers. Chicago Magazine named it among the city's hottest new openings.

Cliff's Taphouse is a neighborhood bar and restaurant in Kansas City's Martini Corner, opened in 2021 by Larry Kime, a former manager of the South Plaza institution Nick & Jake's. It took over the former Ollie's Local space at 3044 Gillham Road, leaning on a dozen-plus local taps, scratch American food, and a deliberately inclusive, family-style atmosphere — the name honors a Chicago beat cop who "welcomed all into his world." Though best known for fully-leaded craft beer dinners, the bar keeps a standing, clearly-labeled non-alcoholic section: Athletic Brewing IPA and Hazy IPA, Boulevard Quirk Superfruit N/A, Guinness 0, Heineken 0.0, Paulaner Weizen Radler, and Border Baseline Pale Ale, mostly $6–$7. Several house cocktails — Eva's Bourbon Berry Smash, Bucky's Botanicals, and Chan's Brew — can be made as mocktails on request.

Hop City Craft Beer & Wine is the Krog District (formerly Krog Street Market) outpost of the Atlanta beer-and-wine retailer founded by Kraig Torres in 2009. The location pairs a curated bottle shop with an adjacent full-service bar pouring dozens of rotating draft selections. For non-drinkers, the appeal is two-fold: the shop keeps a deep, dedicated non-alcoholic section, and the bar runs a dedicated N/A draft line that rotates between Untitled Art and Athletic Brewing. The retail NA shelf is one of the broadest in the city, spanning Athletic Brewing (Free Wave, Run Wild, Upside Dawn), Untitled Art, Guinness 0.0, Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher, Brooklyn Special Effects, Best Day, Ghia, and St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, with Sober Carpenter sold by the single. Sitting directly on the Eastside BeltLine trail, it's a practical NA stop whether you want a pour or a six-pack to go.
