Dray is a fully alcohol-free bottle shop in Cambridge's Central Square, located inside the Market Central complex at 5 Columbia Street. It is the second location for the brand, opening January 28, 2025, after founder Pat Dooling launched the original Dray in Boston's South End in 2023. Dooling — a Stanford and Harvard Business School graduate with a background at Bain & Company and Bain Capital — started the company after deciding to quit drinking, telling WBZ NewsRadio that his motivation 'honestly came from my decision to quit drinking about 3 years ago.' The shop is deliberately designed to look and feel like a high-end liquor or wine store, with everything on the shelves being non-alcoholic. Its inventory spans non-alcoholic spirits, wine, beer, ready-to-drink cocktails, and mixers and accessories, including brands such as Seedlip, Lyre's, Ghia, Three Spirit, Kin Euphorics, Dr. Zero Zero, and Martini & Rossi non-alcoholic aperitifs. The store also functions as an online marketplace and community hub for people exploring alcohol alternatives, and hosts tasting events. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12pm to 8pm and closed on Mondays.
“It's intended to look exactly like a high-end liquor store or wine shop, just one key difference — that everything's non-alcoholic.”— Pat Dooling, founder of DrayWBZ NewsRadio 1030 →
