Founder Kate Riser describes Botanika as filling a gap in Salt Lake City's sober scene — a place to stock up on better-for-you drinks and provisions without a full grocery-store trip, and where the sober, the sober-curious and people who aren't sober at all are all welcome. Beyond retail, it serves as a community gathering space hosting workshops, tastings and cultural events, and as a small woman-owned business commits to supporting minority-owned and mission-driven brands.
The retail mix spans non-alcoholic spirits, wines, ready-to-drink mocktails and beers plus tinned fish, artisan pastas, single-origin coffees and teas, plant-based milks and specialty pantry items, with local delivery and pickup, curated subscription boxes, and free shipping over $60.
