Cat Bite Club

Cat Bite Club opened in June 2023 on Duxton Road in Tanjong Pagar, tucked behind heavy grey curtains inside the Monument Lifestyle store and cafe (look for the neon-red Cheshire-cat sign). It's the project of operating partners Gabriel Lowe and Jesse Vida, the latter formerly head bartender at Atlas, and it debuted to fast acclaim: winner of the Campari One To Watch Award 2024 and No. 44 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025.

The drinks concept is a playful collision of agave and rice spirits, spanning Mexico and Asia across more than 300 artisanal distillates, including what the bar bills as Singapore's largest agave collection at over 200 bottles. Signature full-proof serves include the Cat Bite Margarita, the Soju Sprint and, on the 2026 menu, builds like 'Get The MSG?' and 'Straight Outta Scallion'.

The non-alcoholic offering works through the bar's 'mirrored' menu: cocktails flagged with a blue cat motif can be prepared alcohol-free on request. The clearest example is the zero-proof Puss in Boot, a guava milk punch with maple and cinnamon that is normally tequila-based. To make it AF, Jesse Vida performs the milk-washing clarification without alcohol, adding guava, maple, lemon, lime and cinnamon, curdling with milk, then fine-straining the whey through cloth for a silky, delicate texture that mirrors the original.

The room is a low-lit, curtain-hidden speakeasy seating a small crowd; hours are daily from 5pm to midnight, and the bar is known for donating proceeds from its weekly milk punches to local cat charities.
