604 Gallatin Ave, Suite 217, Nashville, TN 37206
Coral Club opened in May 2024 above a strip mall on Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville, and the unpromising address is part of the appeal — you climb the stairs into a coastal- and tiki-inspired room with a stone bar, a dim lounge and an open-air rooftop patio. It was founded by four hospitality veterans: brothers Aaron and Matthew Izaguirre, who grew up in the Florida Keys, with partners Brice Hoffman and Kristopher Esqueda, whose collective résumés run through The Patterson House, The Catbird Seat, Saison and Bastion. That is a serious set of kitchens and bars, and the drinks reflect it. Snacks run to black truffle popcorn and tinned fish.
The menu is organised into three sections — Standards, House, and a dedicated Zero-Proof list — and the structural point is that the spirit-free drinks sit as a named section of the same menu rather than on a separate card. Co-owner Kristopher Esqueda's own summary of the intent is the useful line: the zero-proof section "doesn't feel like an afterthought." The confirmed builds bear it out. The Neo-Tropical is built on Giffard's non-alcoholic aperitivo with pineapple, ginger and lime soda, giving a non-drinker access to the bitter-tropical register that tiki bars almost never offer without rum. The Chaise Lounge is lighter and more refreshing, combining coconut water, cucumber, lime and soda. Alongside those the bar stocks a St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, Sanbitter — the Italian non-alcoholic bitter aperitif that has been around far longer than the current category — and Corona 0%.
Open daily from 4pm to 1am, which is a genuine late schedule, and the rooftop makes it a legitimate destination rather than a fallback. For East Nashville, it is one of the strongest places to spend an evening without drinking.
