Fremont Brewing, founded in 2009, is one of Seattle's best-known craft breweries and runs the Urban Beer Garden taproom on N 34th St in Fremont. In 2023 it launched what Seattle Met called Seattle's first craft non-alcoholic beer — an NA IPA — after investing roughly $2 million in specialized dealcoholization equipment and about 18 months of R&D, a program praised among the best NA IPAs available.
The house NA lineup has since grown to include NA IPA, NA Hazy IPA, NA Dark, NA Lite, NA Orange Wit and the Hoppy Spritz hop-infused sparkling water. At the Urban Beer Garden these pour individually and as a dedicated Non-Alcoholic Flight, and Fremont now ships its NA beers nationwide under the motto "NA Beer Matters."
