10009 N MacArthur Blvd #101, Irving, TX 75063
Haraz Coffee House is a Yemeni coffeehouse company with cafes in more than a dozen states, and its Irving shop at 10009 North MacArthur Boulevard is one of three it lists in Dallas–Fort Worth; the others are in Plano and Lewisville. In the Dallas Observer's November 2025 guide to Yemeni cafes in North Texas, Sarah Idris called it the largest cafe on her list, with light fixtures and wooden artistry on the walls and, at any given time, people working quietly or talking with friends. At night, she wrote, the glowing fixtures can be seen from afar.
The menu is the company's published one, and the Traditional Drinks section is where to start. Harazi Mufawar is coffee with cardamom and cream, served hot or iced. Adeni, or karak, chai is black tea with Haraz spice and cream, and there is a saffron version. Maleki combines coffee, coffee husks, ginger, cinnamon and light cream; Jubani is coffee with cinnamon and ginger; Sana'ani is black coffee with cardamom; and Qishr is brewed from the coffee husk with cinnamon and ginger, a gentler, less caffeinated cup. Red tea with cardamom is listed too, and the traditional drinks come in 12- or 16-ounce cups or by the pot. The espresso bar runs to a Haraz Latte of double espresso, honey, milk and Haraz spice, a pistachio latte, a saffron latte with honey and a spiced matcha latte. The Observer singled out the honeycomb bread with cream cheese and honey, and a Dubai chocolate cheesecake, as the most popular things to eat.
No alcohol is served, and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's licence records show no permit under the Haraz name or for this suite. With a 7am opening and an 11pm close most nights — midnight on Friday and Saturday — it works as an evening meeting place for groups as much as a morning coffee stop. The menu asks guests to tell the barista about allergies, since the cafe cannot guarantee its products are free of allergens.
