8880 State Highway 121 Suite 164, McKinney, TX 75070

Qahwah House opened in Michigan in 2017 and now has cafes across the United States; its McKinney shop is in a shopping centre at 8880 State Highway 121. The Dallas Observer's November 2025 guide to Yemeni cafes in North Texas credited the company with inspiring the wave of Yemeni cafes that followed, and pointed to the franchise's signature: a wooden world map the size of an entire wall, illustrating the coffee trade. The company's menu page says every drink is made with 100% organic Arabica beans sourced directly from Yemen, which it calls the birthplace of coffee.

The Yemeni Style Coffee and Tea section is the reason to come. Sana'ani is a medium roast with cardamom. Jubani mixes medium and light roast coffee with coffee husks, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. Mofawar is medium roast served with cardamom and cream, and Rada'ey is a light roast with ginger and cardamom. Qishr is brewed from the husks of the coffee cherry, known as cascara, with ginger and cinnamon, and drinks more like a spiced tea than a coffee. Adeni Chai is Yemeni black tea with cardamom, nutmeg and milk, and the plain Yemeni Tea comes with cardamom, cinnamon and cloves; a Turkish dark roast with cardamom and a ginger milk are on the list as well. An espresso bar, iced drinks, refreshers and organic teas sit alongside, and the counter sells pastries and the company's coffee by the pound.

No alcohol is served, and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's licence records show no permit under the Qahwah House name. The company lists the McKinney cafe as open from 7am to 11pm every day, which makes it an evening meeting place as much as a morning coffee stop. It is a counter-service cafe, and the company's locations page also links delivery ordering for anyone who would rather take the coffee home.
