Hey Love is an award-winning tropical cocktail lounge and restaurant set inside the Jupiter NEXT hotel at 920 East Burnside Street, in Portland's Buckman neighborhood. It opened in October 2018, the project of co-owners Aaron Hall and Nicholas Musso (also behind the longtime Portland bar Dig A Pony) together with a bartending team drawing on years at Portland institutions like Dig A Pony and Rum Club. The plant-filled, jungle-inspired room — full of ferns, vintage lanterns and local art — bills itself as "a top-notch cocktail lounge, a community meeting hall, a hidden garden, and a house party, all wrapped into one." In 2023 it was named Best U.S. Hotel Bar at Tales of the Cocktail's Spirited Awards, and it has been a repeat winner in Willamette Week's Best Cocktail Bar category.
Hey Love runs a serious, clearly labeled non-alcoholic program under the menu heading "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, No Proof," built with the same care as its full-proof tiki list. Zero-proof options lean on dedicated NA spirits and brands rather than simple juice mixes: the Midnight Mass combines Pathfinder Amaro, Giffard NA Aperitif, cold brew and orange oil; the Rose City Swizzle pairs Pathfinder Amaro with pineapple, lemon, orgeat and mint; and the Phony Negroni serves St. Agrestis's non-alcoholic Negroni over the rocks. The list also includes the Sassy Tami (ginger tamarind-sarsaparilla lemonade), a de-alcoholized Noughty Sparkling Rosé, and two builds on the house Bloody mix — the N/A Bloody Miriam and the N/A Bargain Beach, made with non-alcoholic Corona and a Tajín salt rim.
“Hey Love's extensive no-proof menu has flavors to hit every craving, including phony espresso Negronis, a michelada with NA Corona, "de-alcoholized" tempranillo sparkling rosé, and a house-made bloody mary punched up with savory mushroom bouillon.”— EverOut PortlandEverOut Portland, Dry January 2026 →
