Holy Ghost is a neighborhood cocktail bar in southeast Portland's Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood, at the corner of SE 28th Avenue and Gladstone Street in the former Pub at the End of the Universe space. It opened in November 2021 after roughly four years of planning, run by Ezra Caraeff as part of the Three on a Match bar group (which also operates Old Gold and Paydirt). The room is anchored by a roughly 30-foot marble bar top, neon signage, and a mural by local artist Kyler Martz, and the drink program is known for a deep agave focus — a 400-plus-bottle collection of tequilas and mezcals — alongside a labor-intensive cocktail list.

Just as central to Holy Ghost's identity is its dedicated zero-proof program, which won Best Bar for Mocktails in Willamette Week's Best of Portland readers' poll in 2024 (and was again recognized in 2025). The alcohol-free menu is built largely on Ritual non-alcoholic spirits, with Pathfinder also used. Named spirit-free drinks include the No Worries Fizz (a Ramos gin fizz riff with Ritual N/A gin, citrus, orange-blossom water, cream and egg white, machine-shaken for froth), the Nada Margarita (Ritual N/A tequila and Ritual N/A aperitif), the Wounded Path, and Wistful Disposition.

We really care about non-alcoholic drinks and want them to be more than just pity lemonade, as my wife used to call the drinks she was offered at bars when she was pregnant.
