Karam Brunch House brings an elevated, all-day Yemeni-American spin to brunch on Monroe Street in downtown West Dearborn. Everything is halal and completely alcohol-free — fitting for Dearborn, home to one of the highest concentrations of Arab Americans in the United States and a deep culture of alcohol-free social dining.
Its signature feature is the K-Bar, which co-owner Tawfiq Alfakhouri opened because, as he told the HFCC Mirror News, no one in the city had a halal mocktail bar. The bar mixes crafted non-alcoholic drinks — mojitos and mocktail ‘martinis’ among them — alongside Yemeni classics like jallab, a date-and-grape-molasses cooler finished with rose water and pine nuts, and house mint lemonade. As of mid-2026 the K-Bar is being refreshed with an expanded mocktail menu to pair with the restaurant's later dinner hours.
