Le Suprême

Le Suprême opened in late August 2023 as the first restaurant to occupy Detroit's Book Tower, the 1926 Italian Renaissance-style skyscraper that Dan Gilbert's Bedrock spent roughly seven years and nearly $400 million restoring. The Parisian-inspired brasserie sits at street level on Washington Boulevard downtown, its 1920s-style dining room built around faded gold walls, handmade green tile, dark wood paneling, mosaic marble floors, and oxblood leather booths.

The beverage program centers on a 300-plus-bottle wine list curated by Book Tower beverage director Patrick Jobst, one of a small number of advanced sommeliers in Michigan — but the printed menu gives alcohol-free drinks their own heading, Sans Alcool, rather than burying them as an afterthought. The current lineup is Temptation (Granny Smith apple, lemon, honey), Citron Crush (Ghia aperitif, lemon, raspberry, orange), and Ze Spritz (Lyre's Rosso, tonic, raspberry, sparkling). Hour Detroit's restaurant report from the opening year singled out an earlier version of the section built around La Vierge, an alcohol-free-absinthe-and-sparkling-wine mocktail — evidence the no-alcohol list is a maintained section that gets refreshed, not a static one-off.

Le Suprême serves brunch on weekends and dinner nightly in downtown Detroit, a few blocks from Campus Martius Park, and takes reservations through Resy alongside walk-in bar seating and a patio. No separate request is needed to order off the Sans Alcool section — it's printed right on the regular drinks menu.
