Local Jones

Local Jones occupies the ground floor of Halcyon at 249 Columbine Street, in the middle of Cherry Creek North's grid of boutiques and galleries. It describes itself as an all-American bistro and neighbourhood bar — warm and inviting, where good food, good drinks and good company come together from morning to night — and it backs that up with hours that few Denver restaurants keep, opening at 7:30am seven days a week and running to 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. That span is the practical reason it appears here: it is one of the few places in the neighbourhood where a non-drinker can meet someone for a properly made drink at 8am or 8pm.

The zero-proof drinks are positioned as cocktails rather than as juice, and the construction shows it. The Snowcap, as Visit Denver's December 2025 alcohol-free guide describes it, is "a mix of vanilla mint chai tea, lemon, honey, pomegranate and egg white" — a tea-based sour, shaken with egg white for foam and body, with the chai supplying the tannin and spice that would otherwise come from a spirit. Its companion on the list, Prickle My Fancy, runs in the opposite direction, described by the same guide as spicy; the pair are characterised there as "the perfect people-watching sippers", which is a fair read of what the room is for, given the sidewalk seating and the Cherry Creek foot traffic. Beyond the two named drinks, the kitchen's all-day format means the beverage list also covers a full coffee service in the morning and the hotel bar's stock in the evening. Local Jones is a modest rather than a landmark non-alcoholic programme — two named house drinks rather than a rotating section — but they are genuinely built, they appear on the same menu as everything else, and the venue's hours make it usable in a way that a 5pm-opening cocktail bar is not.
