Narrative

Narrative is the signature restaurant of The Jacquard, an Autograph Collection hotel at 222 Milwaukee Street in Cherry Creek North, and takes its name from the idea that everything on the menu should have a story attached to it. The hotel is known locally for its rooftop pool and bar, which gives the restaurant a second, seasonal room with a view over the neighbourhood, and Narrative itself has been covered by Eater Denver and is a regular fixture on Cherry Creek North's dining lists. The kitchen opens at 6:30am on weekdays and 7am at weekends and serves until 11pm, which is a longer day than almost any other restaurant in the district keeps.

The non-alcoholic list is described by Visit Denver's December 2025 guide as seasonal, which is the key detail — the drinks change with the menu rather than sitting on the board indefinitely. Two that the guide names are Bitter Passion, built on passion fruit and ginger, and Herb Heaven, made with lemon, mint and cucumber. The naming convention gives away the intent: one is structured around a bitter-and-sharp axis, the other around fresh herbs and cucumber, which are the two most reliable ways to build an alcohol-free drink that does not simply taste sweet. Neither is a landmark programme of the kind that Lady Jane or Peach Crease Club run on the other side of the city, and Narrative is listed here at a modest strength for that reason. What it offers instead is coverage: Cherry Creek is one of Denver's busiest dining districts and has been substantially absent from the city's non-alcoholic mapping, and Narrative, alongside Forget Me Not a few blocks west and Local Jones on Columbine, gives a visitor staying in that part of town three separate rooms where a considered zero-proof drink is on the printed menu. The rooftop is the differentiator in summer, when the same drinks arrive somewhere with a view rather than in a hotel dining room.
