400 Assembly Row, Somerville, MA 02145
Posto opened on Elm Street in Davis Square in 2009 and became one of Somerville's fixtures before chef and owner Joe Cassinelli moved the restaurant to Assembly Row in November 2024, closing the Davis Square room after thirteen years and taking over the much larger former Frank space at 400 Assembly Row. The new site combines a full-service dining room with a takeout market and cafe, and the cooking remains what it was: wood-fired Neapolitan-inspired pizza, hand-made pasta, grilled meat and fish, and a deep glass list. A second Posto operates in the South End.
What makes the Assembly Row room worth a listing here is a drinks menu that carries a section headed 'Zero Proof - Alcohol Free' and treats it as a peer of the cocktail list rather than a concession. Six of the eight drinks are $15, the same as the house cocktails, and are built on genuine non-alcoholic spirits: the N/A-perol Spritz on non-alcoholic Mionetto aperitivo with N/A sparkling wine, the Espress-No Martini on Fluere non-alcoholic spiced cane with dark roast espresso and cream, the No-Groni on non-alcoholic Amsterdam Damrak with non-alcoholic bitters and bubbles, the No-jito on Fluere spiced cane with lime, mint syrup and bubbles, the Faux Mule on Damrak with rosemary syrup, lime and ginger beer, and a Tilden Spritz using the Lacewing base with cucumber, basil, lychee, juniper, a non-alcoholic Szechuan pepper extract, lime and bubbles. Two lighter builds, a Blood Orange Spritz and a Raspberry Spritz, are $8. Meet Boston listed Posto in its January 2026 guide to zero-proof drinks in the city. Cassinelli's group also runs a second Posto in the South End and Posto Mobile, a wood-fired pizza truck. The Assembly Row room serves weekday lunch from 11:30am and weekend brunch from 10am, with dinner to 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday, and the zero-proof section is available across all of those services.
