Sexy Fish Miami is the Brickell outpost of the London restaurant group Caprice Holdings, occupying a deliberately lavish underwater-themed room hung with original Damien Hirst work. The food is Asian-influenced seafood; the reason it appears here is the bar, which runs what is probably the most systematically constructed non-alcoholic programme in the city.
In May 2024 the venue launched its Unity menu, built around twelve core flavour profiles, each served in both a full-strength and a 0% ABV version. That is a near one-to-one mirror of the spirited list, and the structural choice matters more than any individual drink. Most bars bolt two or three mocktails onto the end of a menu, which means a non-drinker orders from a different and shorter list than everyone else at the table. A mirrored menu removes that asymmetry entirely: the group orders from the same twelve profiles and some of them happen to contain alcohol.
The zero-proof builds use house-made tinctures and infusions alongside named products including Seedlip Garden 108 and London Essence Co. sodas, so the alcohol-free side draws on the same larder as the rest of the bar rather than on juice. Miami-exclusive serves include Lime, Goldenberry and Coffee, the last inspired by both the espresso martini and the carajillo.
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau describes it as having one of the most extensive non-alcoholic cocktail menus in Miami, and the count supports that — more than a dozen refined mocktails, served in the same glassware as the cocktails.
It is a high-end restaurant with a full bar and Brickell prices, not an alcohol-free venue. But for a business dinner or an occasion where one person is not drinking, the mirrored menu is close to the ideal arrangement. Ask for the 0% version of whichever profile appeals rather than for the mocktail list — that is how the menu is designed to be used, and it produces a better drink.
A note on what this room is. Sexy Fish is a high-end restaurant with a full bar and one of the larger Japanese whisky collections in the country, so a non-drinker here is not in a protected environment — the 0% list is a genuine parallel menu, not a substitute for a sober space. What it does offer is a room where ordering nothing alcoholic carries no friction at all, which at this price point and in this part of Brickell is not a given.
