131 S 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
Van Ryder sits on the top floor of the Le Méridien hotel in downtown Salt Lake City's West Quarter, pairing an indoor lounge of floor-to-ceiling windows with an outdoor terrace and fire pits overlooking the city, the Wasatch Range and the Great Salt Lake. The drinks lean into Utah spirits and locally sourced, house-made syrups.
The zero-proof side is a genuine focus rather than an afterthought. In a 2023 Utah Stories feature, the bar's libations director said its popularity has only kept climbing, and the menu carries both proofless cocktails and a standalone proofless beer list, so non-drinkers get a full, intentional lineup alongside the rooftop's signature cocktails.
What to order
- Honey Badger Redux (ginger honey, lemon, apple cider vinegar, club soda)
- Meet Me in The Garden (lime, simple, basil oil, cucumber, black pepper)
“I would estimate around 15% of sales go toward our zero-proof program. Our zero-proof beer selection really holds its own at 25-30% of our total beer sales!”— Elyse Evan, Director of Libations and Service at Van RyderUtah Stories, June 2023 →
