Anise is a pan-Mediterranean food and wine bar that opened in September 2021 inside the boutique Drey Hotel at The Village, a redeveloped community in central/NE Dallas. The kitchen draws from across the Mediterranean coast with mezze and shareable plates, and the wine program is the centerpiece — roughly 30 wines by the glass, 10 on tap, and about 135 total. Anise also runs a dedicated, named "Zero Proof" menu: five Lyre's-based mocktails — Eastside Story, Boogie Night, Disco Party, Footloose, and Soul Planes ($9 each) — alongside the Underserved ($8), built on sweet plum, ginger, and lemon with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic. With patio seating and a weekday happy hour, it treats non-drinkers to a real list rather than an afterthought.
