Bar Mordecai

Bar Mordecai is a cocktail bar and restaurant on Dundas Street West in Toronto's Little Portugal / Dundas West neighborhood, styled after the hotel lobby bars of decades past and inspired by the aesthetics of Wes Anderson's films. Downstairs from the main room sits the Green Room Bar alongside four private karaoke rooms, each themed around a different era of musical history. The kitchen runs a shared-plates menu built to work as snacks or a full meal, and the bar pours local and international beer and wine alongside its cocktail list. Bar Mordecai is open Wednesday through Saturday evenings, closed Sunday through Tuesday.

The venue's printed menu carries a dedicated "NON-ALC OFFERINGS" section rather than treating alcohol-free drinks as an afterthought. Two named zero-proof cocktails anchor it: the Gems by the Pond ($11), made with JNPR ginger non-alcoholic gin, guava, coconut, lemon, cucumber and soda, and the Pink Lloyd ($11), built from Martini Floreale aperitivo, Bark & Bitter Novara, Noa sweet vermouth, Lucano Amaro Zero and an orange slice. The same section lists a Godspeed Brewery Jasmine and Peach Iced Tea ($6), non-alcoholic beer including Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero and Bellwoods' "Stay Classy" IPA, and non-alcoholic wine — Mionetto De-Alc Prosecco and Prima Pavé Bianca D'Or.

NOW Toronto included Bar Mordecai in its January 2026 roundup of Toronto bars taking mocktails seriously, writing that "whether you like it tropical and fresh or dark and bitter, there's a mocktail for you at Mordecai," and singling out its "zero proof Guiness."
