Comfort Kitchen opened in January 2023 in the Comfort Station at 611 Columbia Road, a 1912 municipal building in Upham's Corner that had sat unused for decades before the restaurant team restored it. The cooking is described by the house as global comfort food and traces the ingredients and routes of the African diaspora across Asia and the Americas; within a year it had drawn national attention alongside Moeca and Rubato as one of the Boston restaurants the rest of the country was watching. It runs dinner Wednesday through Sunday and brunch at weekends, with a full bar and a patio.

The drinks are where it earns a place in this directory. The bar menu is organised into cocktails and a standing 'Free-Spirited Cocktails' section, listed as its own category rather than appended at the bottom, and the rotating wine and beer list carries N/A options. Beverage director Kyisha Davenport told Edible Boston in November 2023 that she avoids the word mocktail entirely, and she builds the alcohol-free drinks from the same sourcing story as the food, using Nepali timur pepper, West African suya spice mix and Middle Eastern sumac. The two drinks Edible Boston documented were the Baobab Express, built on baobab and Nepali white tea with ginger and orange blossom water as a deliberate line drawn between the West African and South Asian diasporas, and a Chiya Punch using the spice blend behind the cafe's Nepali chiya. The menu rotates, so those specific drinks may not be pouring on a given night, but the section itself is permanent, priced in line with the cocktails, and staffed by people who treat it as a real order. Boston magazine reviewed the restaurant in May 2023 and the Globe reviewed it that December, and in September 2023 the Globe grouped it with Moeca and Rubato as the Boston restaurants drawing national attention. Dinner runs Wednesday through Sunday with a last seating at 9pm, and brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10am.
