74 Prinsep Street, Singapore 188669
Incloud opened on Prinsep Street as Singapore's first teahouse with a floating river — a shallow channel of moving water built into the communal table, along which cups and small dishes are floated to guests. The gimmick is genuinely charming, and it has made the room a fixture of local food media, but the reason it belongs in an alcohol-free guide is more practical than aesthetic: this is a fully alcohol-free venue that stays open past the point at which most of Singapore's bars have closed.
The tea programme is a real one. The room serves Chinese-style teas in proper gongfu format alongside elegant tea sets with pastries, and it is set up for the slow, repeated-infusion drinking that makes tea a social activity rather than a single-cup transaction. During the day the atmosphere is closer to a refined cafe, and it draws a crowd that comes for the interiors as much as the leaf. The shift happens in the evening, when the lighting drops and the room takes on a bar-like character — the same table, the same stream, a different mood.
That late licence is the crucial detail. Incloud runs to 3am Sunday through Friday and to 4am on Saturday. For anyone in Singapore who is not drinking, the usual problem is not finding a good non-alcoholic drink at 8pm; it is finding anywhere to sit with friends at 1am that is not built around a bar. Incloud answers that directly, and it does so without kava, kratom or any of the psychoactive alternatives that fill the same niche in American cities — this is tea, served late, in a room designed for lingering. Reservations are taken by phone and WhatsApp, and are worth making at weekends.
