Featured on: Best Sober Date Night Spots in Dallas

Loro began as a collaboration between Tyson Cole of Uchi and pitmaster Aaron Franklin, and the East Dallas location on Haskell Avenue brings that Asian smokehouse format — smoked meats, chili-heavy sides, frozen drinks — to a big indoor-outdoor room. Its drink menu carries a section printed as Zero Proof, and the composition is smarter than most.

The Strawberry Thai Basil Margarita is the house build, made with Ritual's tequila alternative against strawberry and Thai basil, which lines up with the kitchen's flavours rather than sitting apart from them. The more interesting listing is the St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, a canned non-alcoholic negroni from Brooklyn that delivers real bitterness — the flavour that zero-proof menus most often fail to provide, and one that matters at a restaurant serving fatty smoked meat. A Spicy Cucumber, a Ginger Cooler and a frozen pink lemonade cover the lighter end, and the beer list carries Best Day Brewing's Kölsch alongside Sapporo's zero-alcohol lager.

One correction worth recording, because it circulates: press coverage crediting this menu with Athletic Brewing and a K-Tonic kombucha Singapore Sling was describing Loro's Addison location, not East Dallas. The list above is what the Haskell Avenue room actually pours.
