Rorschach Brewing Co.

Rorschach Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom at 1001 Eastern Avenue, on the Leslieville side of the border with The Beaches in Toronto's east end. The taproom serves food from its own kitchen alongside its house beers, open seven days a week from noon — Sunday and Monday until 9pm, Tuesday through Thursday until 10pm, and Friday and Saturday until 11pm — with the kitchen closing roughly an hour before the bar each night.

Since 2020, Rorschach has brewed its non-alcoholic beer under a dedicated house sub-brand, Free Spirit — by its own description, "a Canadian brewing company dedicated to using the choicest malts and hops to brew uncompromisingly flavourful alcohol free craft beer," made for drinkers who want "the exceptional taste of premium craft beer without compromising on your healthy, active lifestyle."

The flagship is the Free Spirit Adventure IPA, brewed with oats, wheat and Galaxy hops to 0.5% ABV. It's poured at the taproom as the "Adventure Non-Alcoholic IPA" and sold to go in 355ml cans ($2.45) or 6-packs ($13.70), stocked alongside Rorschach's alcoholic beers rather than set apart as a token option. Bartender Atlas's non-alcoholic drinks guide describes it as "soft, well-rounded, with notes of stone fruit and peach candy finishing on a pleasant bitterness."
