Grey Tiger is a cocktail bar and bottle shop at 1190 Bloor St W in Toronto's Bloordale neighbourhood, described by blogTO's Amy Carlberg as "an artist-run cocktail bar for new romantics." Alongside the bar, Grey Tiger runs the School of Hard Drinks, offering beginner and intermediate cocktail classes for individuals and groups, and takes part in neighbourhood events such as the Big on Bloor Street Festival.
The bar's printed menu carries a dedicated "Path of Temperance" section of four full-price ($15), zero-proof cocktails, built with the same technique-forward approach as the rest of the list rather than as an afterthought: the Crown Spritz (white vermouth, red bitter, soda, grapefruit acid), The Finest Timeline (black rice aperitif, chili lime cucumber shrub, ginger beer, mint bitters), Sky Reset (concord grape vermouth, rosemary, lime acid, bitter soda) and Love in the Shadows (juniper sumac tonic, blueberry bitter, tartaric acid, kalamata olive brine).
Grey Tiger also operates an online and in-store bottle shop, which carries a dedicated non-alcoholic collection alongside its cocktail spirits, liqueurs, natural wine, craft beer and cider — including bottles from Gruvi.
