Founder Roger Muir pitched SHOUT! as an antidote to a nightlife landscape with few alcohol-free options for younger and sober Salt Lakers, telling ABC4 that the only current options for creating new social relationships are in swiping apps or hopping bars.

Beyond the dancefloor, the venue features a game area with card games and cornhole and a separate video-gaming lounge with couches and big-screen TVs. The bar is entirely zero-proof — mocktails and dirty sodas, with the first mocktail complimentary — and events run under rotating themes, typically from 9 PM to midnight.
