Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee World

Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee World opened at 11754 Bellaire Blvd in Houston's Alief/west Asiatown corridor on March 21, 2026, following a March 10 soft launch and a lion-dance grand-opening celebration. It's the first U.S. location of Trung Nguyen Legend, one of Vietnam's largest coffee brands, and co-owners Harry Nguyen and David Ho believe their 4,700-square-foot, roughly 130-seat cafe is the brand's largest in the country. The pair signed the lease back in 2022, and construction delays pushed the opening back several years before the space finally welcomed guests, according to the Houston Chronicle. Nguyen, who has also run Vua Bun Bo in the same shopping center, said he and Ho wanted to build the kind of slow, social coffee spot for family and business gatherings that Houston lacked.

The cafe serves no alcohol at all -- every drink on the menu is coffee, tea, or a milk-based specialty. The core of the program is Trung Nguyen's three signature brewing presentations: the Zen (coffee brewed and served warm in a mini kettle), the Roman (espresso served over ice with condensed milk), and the Ottoman (Turkish-style coffee finished with copper service), priced roughly $5 to $10 depending on the blend. Alongside those sit a viral Vietnamese egg coffee (dark roast coffee topped with whipped egg cream), coffee with sea salt cream, pandan lotus seed tea, Legend milk tea, oatmilk matcha, and a tiramisu latte, plus fruit teas and smoothies.

Co-owner David Ho backpacked across Vietnam to develop recipes before returning to help run the kitchen, and the cafe has begun adding food to its coffee-only opening menu -- beef and chicken pho and a Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi) are now listed on its website, with bo ne also planned. Sitting on the Bellaire Boulevard corridor of Alief, in the heart of Houston's west-side Asiatown, the cafe has quickly become a gathering spot for the local Vietnamese community as well as a broader crowd drawn to its viral, Instagram-ready coffee presentations.
