Best Mocktails in Houston, TX
Houston — America's fourth-largest city — puts its non-alcoholic strength in the world-class craft-cocktail bars and restaurants that treat zero-proof as a real menu, many built on Houston's own Cut Above NA spirits. The award-winners lead: garden-driven Coltivare and Lindale Park's Monkey's Tail have both won Houston Press's Best Mocktail List, while Bobby Heugel's Better Luck Tomorrow, sushi flagship Uchi, and the Michelin-starred Le Jardinier inside the Museum of Fine Arts all run named spirit-free lists. The River Oaks District pairs Le Colonial's Vietnamese mocktails with Azumi's Seedlip-based Boketto, while nearby Zanti keeps a standing Seedlip zero-proof section over on West Gray, and the Heights (Plume, Loro) and Downtown (HiFi at The Finn, plus Flying Saucer's deep non-alcoholic beer wall) fill in the rest. Dedicated fully alcohol-free rooms are still rare inside the Loop, so Houston's alcohol-free social life runs largely through its immigrant cafe culture: the Vietnamese coffee giant Trung Nguyen Legend and the Chinatown coffee-and-tea bar Le'DRIP along Bellaire Boulevard, and Third Ward's vegetarian Doshi House — plus the kava and tiki-mocktail Elixir Lounge up in Old Town Spring. Texas's oldest craft brewery, Saint Arnold, backs its taps with a house-made non-alcoholic line, and Creole institution Brennan's rounds out the range.

Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee World is the first U.S. location of one of Vietnam's best-known coffee brands, a 4,700-square-foot, roughly 130-seat cafe that opened on Houston's Bellaire Boulevard in March 2026. There is no bar and no alcohol anywhere on the premises -- the entire drink program runs on traditional Vietnamese coffee, tea, and milk-tea specialties. Its three signature brewing styles, the Zen, Roman, and Ottoman, plus a viral whipped-egg coffee, anchor a menu built for lingering rather than drinking. Co-owners Harry Nguyen and David Ho designed it as a slower, more social alternative to a quick-service coffee counter for Houston's Vietnamese community.

Taj A Sweet Cafe opened on Westheimer Road in Greater Uptown in September 2025 and keeps the most consistent late hours of any alcohol-free room in Houston: seven in the morning to midnight, every single night, with no weekday drop-off. It is a Levantine and Turkish sweets house rather than a Yemeni coffeehouse proper, though it serves Yemeni tea — the Adani, available by the cup or in a shared pot. The rest of the list runs to Turkish coffee, pistachio and Spanish lattes, a house soothing tea, and dessert-led drinks including the Biscoff Cloud and Tiramisu Dream. The published menu spans hot and cold drinks, oriental sweets, crepes and chocolates, and contains no alcoholic item anywhere on it.

Plume is an Art Deco-inspired cocktail bar in Houston's Heights that treats its non-alcoholic list as a real menu section rather than an afterthought. The current menu carries three built mocktails using genuine zero-proof spirits — Seedlip, Giffard NA Apéritif, and Ritual Zero Proof Whiskey — and CultureMap Houston's Dry January coverage has separately profiled four more named $10 mocktails from the bar's rotating list. It's a full bar first, not an alcohol-free venue, but non-drinking guests get composed drinks rather than a soda-and-lime substitute.
Signature NA drinks- Guava Glam Spritz (Seedlip Grove 42, guava, Giffard NA Apéritif, lemon, topped with grapefruit soda)

Mazajj Organic Coffee is a Yemeni coffeehouse on Richmond Avenue in Greater Uptown, and it keeps later hours than almost any bar in Houston: midnight Sunday through Thursday and one in the morning on Friday and Saturday. The drinks are the traditional Yemeni repertoire rather than a Western cafe list — Adeni chai, black tea brewed with cardamom, cinnamon and milk; qishr, made from spiced coffee husks rather than the bean; and a spiced sweet latte built on double espresso with cardamom and cinnamon. Texas Monthly covered the venue as part of the Yemeni coffeehouse wave that has spread across Texas since 2024. No alcohol is served or licensed at the address, and the room is built for sitting rather than for takeaway, which is the entire point of the format.
Signature NA drinks- Adeni chai — Yemeni black tea brewed with cardamom, cinnamon and milk
- Qishr — hot infusion of spiced coffee husks rather than the coffee bean
- Spiced Sweet Latte — double espresso, milk, cardamom, cinnamon, syrup
- Pistachio latte
- Pistachio matcha
- Red Velvet Latte

Yemex Bakehouse & Specialty Coffee opened in west Houston on 11 February 2026, founded by Rawan Alsagheer and Efrain Ayllon — a couple who both left tech careers with no culinary training to build a Yemeni-Mexican cafe. The signature drink is the areekano: a double espresso poured over chilled water, sweetened with a house-made syrup and topped with cream, cheddar cheese, honey and black sesame seeds, a translation of the Yemeni date-and-cheese dessert areeka into a cup. Alongside it sit a cafe de olla latte, an Adeni chai brewed with a house spice blend and piloncillo, and single-origin Yemeni pour-overs from Al-Haimah and East Haraz. The kitchen bakes cafe de olla rolls and a black lime Danish. It trades to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and is closed Mondays.
Signature NA drinks- Areekano — double espresso over chilled water, house-made syrup, cream, cheddar cheese, honey, black sesame seeds
- Yemex Adeni Chai — black tea, house spice blend, milk, piloncillo

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. is the Houston branch of a fast-growing Yemeni coffeehouse chain, trading on Westheimer Road in Briar Forest until eleven most nights and midnight on Friday and Saturday. The menu runs the traditional Yemeni preparations rather than a standard espresso list: iced mufawaar built on coffee with cardamom and cream, juban kettle coffee, qishr infused from cascara with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon, and Aden tea. Sweeter modern drinks sit alongside them, including an iced pistachio latte and the araysi, a mango drink finished with vanilla drizzle. No alcohol is served, and the Texas licence register holds no permit for the trade name statewide or at this address. The room is designed for long sittings, which is what separates a Yemeni coffeehouse from a coffee shop.
Signature NA drinks- Iced Mufawaar — coffee with cardamom and cream
- Qishr — cascara infused with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon
- Juban Kettle Coffee
- Aden Tea
- Araysi — mango finished with vanilla drizzle

Le Jardinier Houston, the Michelin-starred French restaurant inside the Museum of Fine Arts Houston's Kinder Building, keeps a standing three-drink "Zero Proof Cocktails" section on its printed menu, each drink named, priced, and built from fresh juices, house syrups, and a non-alcoholic aperitif base rather than an afterthought soda. Weekend brunch adds a separate $30-per-guest mocktail pairing of several more non-alcoholic drinks, matched course-by-course the same way the wine pairing is offered. Houston's Dry January media coverage, including CultureMap Houston and Houston Press, has repeatedly singled out the restaurant's mocktails as a highlight of the city's fine-dining alcohol-free options.

Elixir Lounge Kava Bar is a fully alcohol-free tiki lounge and kava bar in Old Town Spring, the historic district on Houston's far-north edge. Founded by owner Chris Jepson and opened in August 2022, it bills itself as the only N/A tiki-mocktail lounge, kava bar, and botanical-supplement shop in the Houston area. The drink program centers on Polynesian kava and kratom served as shells and bowls, alongside zero-proof "virgin cocktails" like a Piña Colada (available straight or kava-infused) and a Mojo-jito, plus nitro cold brew, kombucha, artisan coffees, and herbal teas. The tiki-styled space — porch swings, couches, lanterns — is pet-friendly and hosts karaoke, live music, and game nights, building what Jepson calls a welcoming "tribe" of regulars who can gather whether or not they drink.
Signature NA drinks- Piña Colada (pineapple juice, coconut milk, coconut & pineapple syrups, toasted coconut rim) $7.50
- Mojo-jito (muddled mint & blackberries, lemonade, lime juice, mint & blackberry syrups, lime La Croix) $7.50

Jūn is a James Beard Award-winning New Asian American restaurant in Houston's Heights, opened in February 2023 by chef-owners Evelyn Garcia — a Top Chef Season 19 finalist — and Henry Lu, a veteran of New York kitchens including Pearl & Ash and Llama Inn. The 57-seat, open-kitchen room draws on the pair's first-generation Salvadoran, Mexican and Southeast Asian upbringings, with wok cooking and fermentation at its core; they won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Texas in June 2026. The kitchen keeps a dedicated five-drink "Zero Proof" section that mirrors that cross-cultural cooking rather than defaulting to fruit juice: the Oye Morro built on Salvadoran horchata with pineapple, coconut and lime; a savory N/A Michelada with Topo Chico, fish sauce, hoisin, chili and lime; a Suero; a Tamarind Arnold Palmer; and Miles Away with passionfruit and vanilla.
Signature NA drinks- Oye Morro (Salvadoran horchata, pineapple, coconut, lime)
- N/A Michelada (Topo Chico, fish sauce, hoisin, chili, lime)
- Suero (Topo Chico, lime, black salt)
- Tamarind Arnold Palmer (tamarind Jarritos, cold brew oolong tea, lemon)

This upscale French-Vietnamese restaurant in the River Oaks District runs a dedicated Mocktails section on its beverage menu alongside its full cocktail program, built from fresh, kitchen-grade ingredients rather than syrupy defaults. The Saigon Mint Colada (coconut milk, fresh pineapple, fresh lime, fresh mint, turmeric, fresh nutmeg) got specific press coverage as the drink for "the non-imbibing" when Le Colonial unveiled its new patio and cocktail menu in 2024. Two more named non-alcoholic builds round out the list: the pomegranate-ginger Le Diable and a trio of shaken black teas (white peach, hibiscus herb honey, lychee).
Signature NA drinks- Saigon Mint Colada (coconut milk, fresh pineapple, fresh lime, fresh mint, turmeric, fresh nutmeg)
- Le Diable (fresh pomegranate, ginger root, cilantro, fresh lime, pomegranate molasses, Q ginger beer)

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium's downtown Houston location — one of the original outposts of the Fort Worth-founded beer-hall chain, pouring since 2000 — runs a genuinely deep non-alcoholic shelf alongside its famous 85-tap, 150-plus-bottle beer list. The venue's own listing on the NA-beer directory beerfordriving.com names 15 distinct non-alcoholic beers from at least six breweries built around low- and no-ABV brewing. That includes several Athletic Brewing styles and four Brooklyn Special Effects variants, plus Guinness 0, Clausthaler Original, Deschutes Black Butte Non-Alcoholic, Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher and Untitled Art Mango Dragonfruit — each called out by name and ABV rather than folded into a vague "N/A options available" note.
Signature NA drinks- Guinness 0 (non-alcoholic Irish stout, 0.3% ABV)
- Athletic Brewing Free Wave (non-alcoholic hazy IPA, 0.5% ABV)
- Brooklyn Special Effects Grapefruit IPA (non-alcoholic IPA, 0.5% ABV)

Le'DRIP Coffee and Tea is a fully alcohol-free Vietnamese coffee and tea shop tucked into Dun Huang Plaza in Houston's Chinatown, pouring traditional phin-drip coffee alongside inventive foam-topped and fruit-tea specialty drinks. Every build on the menu, from the classic bac siu to pandan-foam Vietnamese coffee and coconut coffee finished with ube cream cheese foam, is coffee- or tea-based, with no alcohol served anywhere on site. It was founded by sisters Emmy Le and Amy Le, who source Vietnamese Robusta beans and import tea leaves directly from Vietnam rather than using the Arabica beans common at most U.S. coffee shops.
Signature NA drinks- Pandan Bac Siu (airy, fluffy pandan foam atop bac siu, the lighter, milkier sister of Le'DRIP's Vietnamese coffee)
- Black Sugar Matcha Latte (culinary-grade matcha, black sugar)

Doshi House is a fully alcohol-free vegetarian cafe in Houston's Third Ward, so its coffee, tea, and tonic menu is non-alcoholic by default rather than a side program bolted onto a bar. The espresso bar runs on beans from Houston roaster Greenway Coffee, and the tea list spans a 36-hour brewed chai latte, Japanese matcha, and traditional karak cha masala chai. A separate 'Tonics & Infusions' section builds composed non-alcoholic drinks from real ingredients, like a tamarind-dates-jalapeño elixir and a hibiscus-lavender-rose blend, giving the drink list the same intentionality most bars reserve for cocktails.
Signature NA drinks- Pistachio Latte (pistachio, cardamom, milk)
- Karak Cha (traditional Indian masala chai)
- Chai Latte (36-hour brewed chai)
- Elixir Tonic (tamarind, dates, jalapeño, lemon, cane syrup)

Moon — known publicly as Bar Moon — is a jewel-box cocktail lounge perched above Post Oak Boulevard in Houston's Uptown/Galleria district, created by The Bastion Collection (the team behind Michelin-starred Le Jardinier) in partnership with Café Natalie, sitting above the Italian restaurant Tavola. Its dedicated $10 zero-proof list — Verjuice, Rice & Shine, Laguna, and Familiar Tides — is ingredient-driven rather than brand-driven, built with the same precision as the spirited cocktail menu.
Signature NA drinks- Verjuice (red verjus, Three Cent grapefruit soda)
- Rice & Shine (toasted rice, pineapple, lapsang tea, warming spices)
- Laguna (garam masala, coconut water, cacao nibs)
- Familiar Tides (salted pineapple, lime, cilantro salt foam)

HiFi at The Finn is a Tokyo-inspired vinyl listening lounge on the mezzanine of The Finn, a chef-driven food hall inside the historic Jones on Main building in Downtown Houston. Built around a curated turntable system with rotating DJ sets Wednesday through Saturday, the room is kept deliberately quieter than the food hall below so the music stays audible. It opened in 2025, with Filipino-inspired small plates — lumpia, adobo, pancit — curated by James Beard Award-winning chef Tom Cunanan. The zero-proof program is genuine rather than token: named builds anchored on Cut Above alcohol-free spirits, including Tang, Tang, Taaang with Cut Above tequila, lime oleo, agave and house-made tangerine soda, and No Speed Limit, which layers Pathfinder Hemp & Root with Cut Above whiskey, black cherry and coffee. The bar also runs mixology classes with a dedicated non-alcoholic option.
Signature NA drinks- Tang, Tang, Taaang
- No Speed Limit
- Kiwi No. 0
- Pine the Time Away

Zanti's River Oaks bar keeps a standing "Zero-proof" section on its permanent cocktail menu, not just a seasonal add-on: Berry Brezza, Mora di Zanti, Piccola Rita and Senza Fashion, built on Seedlip Garden, Seedlip Notas de Agave and Cut Above Non-whiskey (each $15, matching the alcoholic cocktails). Each January the bar layers in Dry January specials such as La Mora di Zanti, Marg No Rita, Panoma and Tiki Good. Houston outlets DiningOut and Click2Houston (KPRC) each named the zero-proof list in January 2026 Dry January roundups, evidence of a maintained program rather than a one-off.
Signature NA drinks- Berry Brezza (Seedlip Garden, raspberries, lemon juice, simple syrup, soda)
- Mora di Zanti (Seedlip Garden, hibiscus, blackberry syrup, lemon juice, mint, soda)
- Piccola Rita (Seedlip Notas de Agave, lime & orange juice, soda)

Turner's Cut is Ben Berg's opulent, Gilded Age-inspired steakhouse in Houston's Autry Park, and its bar list carries a genuine four-drink zero-proof program built on Seedlip and Cut Above non-alcoholic spirits rather than an afterthought syrup-and-soda pour. The same $12 mocktails — Strawberry Rose Refresher, Spiced Pear, Margfreerita, and Kosnopolitan — are shared with sister restaurant Prime 131 under the Berg Hospitality Group's beverage program, and were independently confirmed by multiple Houston Dry January roundups.

Echoes is a Montrose live-music and DJ bar on Richmond Avenue that runs until two in the morning six nights a week, and its non-alcoholic drinks are built as desserts and infusions rather than as watered-down cocktails. The lady marmalade combines espresso with chocolate syrup and crushed Oreos; never promised you a rose garden pairs rose tonic with hibiscus and lychee; dolce vita layers tamarind and melon syrups under mandarin and bergamot soda with heavy cream; and the tropical tango runs pineapple, lime and coconut into ginger beer. CultureMap Houston picked the bar out in its January 2026 round-up of the city's zero-proof drinking. The late licence is the real argument here — a two o'clock closing time means the non-alcoholic list is available at the hours a music bar actually fills up.
Signature NA drinks- lady marmalade — espresso, chocolate syrup, crushed Oreos
- never promised you a rose garden — rose tonic, hibiscus, lychee
- dolce vita — tamarind syrup, melon syrup, mandarin and bergamot soda, heavy cream
- tropical tango — pineapple, lime, coconut, ginger beer

Jethro's Cocktail Lounge is a retro, midcentury-modern room on the Montrose side of the Montrose/Midtown line, opened in April 2024 by hospitality partners Russell Malixi, Wade McElroy and Andrew Corbett — the team behind Ma'am Sir LA, Horse Thief BBQ and the Arroyo Club in Los Angeles. Dark woods, geometric shapes and black booths pair with a walk-up bar and an airy patio, and the compact menu runs about ten signature cocktails alongside smashburgers and fries. Its zero-proof program is small but genuinely built on real non-alcoholic spirits rather than juice: four named mocktails at $10, including the Watermelon Fresca with Cut Above zero-proof agave, watermelon and lime, and the Botanical Crown with Empress 1908 0.0, honey and Topo Chico. Peach Blossom and 9 Out of 10 round out the list.

Wild — stylized "W!ld" — is a Bali- and Southeast Asia-inspired coffee bar, cocktail lounge and legal hemp dispensary on North Shepherd Drive in the Heights, opened in February 2022 by cousins Adyson and Andrew Alvis. The plant-filled room works as a specialty coffee bar by day, pouring beans roasted with Heights roaster Tenfold Coffee, and becomes a full bar at night alongside an in-house "Bud Bar" stocked with hemp-derived CBD products. Its drink program was created by Laurie Harvey and Kris Sowell of Ladies of Libation and centers on hemp-infused elixirs: the Pink Loco with raspberry, coconut, citrus and mint; the coffee-based Skywalker OG; and Marfa Days with hibiscus, Topo Chico, citrus and tropical fruit. Readers avoiding all intoxicants should note these carry 20mg of full-spectrum CBD, and the venue will not mix CBD with alcohol. The Montrose second location has closed.

Axelrad is a Midtown Houston beer garden set in a century-old building on the corner of Alabama and Almeda, sharing a leafy, hammock-strewn patio with Luigi's Pizzeria. Brasserie 19 is a French brasserie on West Gray in River Oaks with a long-standing reputation for its wine list, which makes the quality of its zero-proof drinks more surprising than it should be. Three builds run on Ritual's alcohol-free spirits: the No-jito pairs Ritual rum with fresh mint and soda, the Spicy Paloma runs Ritual tequila against jalapeño and grapefruit, and the French "O"-75 rebuilds a French 75 on the same alcohol-free base. Houston Press named all three in its January 2026 zero-proof guide. In a room whose identity is built on wine, having three spirit-based alternatives that are ordered by name rather than described to a bartender is the difference between being catered for and being accommodated.
Signature NA drinks- No-jito — Ritual rum alternative, fresh mint, soda
- Spicy Paloma — Ritual tequila alternative, jalapeño, grapefruit
- French "O"-75 — Ritual alcohol-free base, in the French 75 style

Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Texas' oldest craft brewery, backs its beer list with a genuine house-made non-alcoholic line at its Beer Garden & Restaurant: Hop Spring alcohol-free hoppy sparkling water, cane-sugar Root Beer, and Ginger Beer, called out in their own dedicated 'Non-Alcoholic' menu section. Hop Spring is brewed from just carbonated water, hops (Citra and Amarillo), and phosphoric acid — zero calories, zero ABV — and began life as taproom-only 'Hop2O' in 2018 before its 2023 relaunch, and it's now canned for Houston-area grocery and liquor stores. It's a full-alcohol production brewery and restaurant rather than an alcohol-free bar, but non-drinkers get real, dedicated products instead of a soda-gun afterthought.
Signature NA drinks- Hop Spring (carbonated water, hops, phosphoric acid — alcohol-free, gluten-free, zero calories)
- Saint Arnold Root Beer (water, cane sugar, root beer extract, sparkling foam, sodium benzoate, phosphoric acid — non-alcoholic)
- Saint Arnold Ginger Beer (water, cane sugar, natural flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate, caramel color — non-alcoholic)

Rosalie Italian Soul is chef Chris Cosentino's Italian-American restaurant inside Downtown Houston's C. Baldwin Hotel, and its printed drink menu carries a standing Mocktails section built on Ritual Zero Proof spirit alternatives. The list runs a Ritual Margarita, a Ritual Espresso Martini, and a non-alcoholic Jungle Bird, each printed with full ingredients right alongside the restaurant's cocktail list rather than as an afterthought. A fourth mocktail, The Black Tie, appears under a repeated "Rosalie Mocktails" heading.
Signature NA drinks- Ritual Margarita (Ritual Tequila Alternative, fresh lime juice, agave nectar)
- Ritual Espresso Martini (Ritual Rum Alternative, cold brew or espresso, simple syrup)
- Jungle Bird (Ritual Aperitif Alternative, Ritual Rum Alternative, pineapple juice, lime juice, simple syrup)

Tipping Point Restaurant & Terrace is the all-day American restaurant and rooftop terrace at Hotel ZaZa's Michelin Key-rated Memorial City property, open from 6:30am into the early morning daily. Its printed bar menu carries a standing Mocktails section of three $12 zero-proof drinks built from fresh produce and syrups rather than dealcoholized spirits: Verdant Chill, Blush Garden Fizz and Golden Hour Paloma. Houston Press singled out the restaurant's 'short but polished alcohol-free lineup' in its January 2026 Dry January guide.
Signature NA drinks- Verdant Chill ($12) -- cucumber, mint, lime, simple syrup, sparkling water
- Blush Garden Fizz ($12) -- strawberries, basil, lemon, agave, sparkling water
- Golden Hour Paloma ($12) -- grapefruit, orange, lime, honey, grapefruit soda, sea salt

Latuli is chef Bryan Caswell's Memorial-area restaurant, and its drinks list carries a printed section headed simply "Mocktails" — set out on the same page as the cocktails rather than tucked away as an afterthought. Both builds are made with Ritual zero-proof tequila rather than fruit juice: the Ginger Spur combines it with ginger simple syrup, fresh orange juice and ginger beer, and the Spring Saddle runs it into strawberry chamomile with lemon, lime and soda. Two drinks is a short list, but the construction is the point — using an alcohol-free spirit as the base means the drink is built the way a cocktail is, with the same bitterness and length. The kitchen runs to eleven on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Signature NA drinks- Ginger Spur — Ritual zero-proof tequila, ginger simple, fresh orange juice, ginger beer
- Spring Saddle — Ritual zero-proof tequila, strawberry chamomile, lemon and lime, soda

The Marigold Club is a Goodnight Hospitality room in Montrose, listed in the Michelin Guide, styled after a British members' club and serving a menu that runs from martinis to a full dinner service. Its alcohol-free drinks are built on Seedlip: the Secret Garden pairs Seedlip Garden 108 — the herbaceous pea-and-hay expression — with an olive, making a genuinely savoury drink rather than a sweet one, and the Chelsea Bloom runs Seedlip Grove 42's citrus character against cranberry and lime. Houston Press named both in its January 2026 zero-proof guide. A savoury alcohol-free option is unusual and worth seeking out, because the martini-adjacent register is the hardest one for a non-drinker to find anywhere.

Anvil Bar & Refuge is a cornerstone of Houston's craft-cocktail scene, opened in March 2009 by Bobby Heugel in the Montrose neighborhood. Widely credited with launching the city's modern drinks culture, it built its reputation on "Anvil's List of 100 Classics" alongside a rotating slate of about nine seasonal house creations, and has been recognized multiple times as a James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Bar Program (finalist in 2018). Its non-alcoholic offerings are modest but genuine and appear by name on the current seasonal menu: "Double Time," a shaken build of zero-proof tequila, strawberry, vinegar, and sparkling water, and the "Phony Negroni," a bubbly non-alcoholic Negroni served on tap.
Signature NA drinks- Double Time (zero-proof tequila, strawberry, vinegar, sparkling water)
- Phony Negroni (bubbly non-alcoholic Negroni, served on tap)

Late August is a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant in Houston's Ion District, opened March 2024 by chef Chris Williams (Lucille's Hospitality Group) with Sergio Hidalgo as executive chef, serving an Afro-Mexican fusion menu built around produce from Lucille's 1913 farm in Kendleton, Texas. It was named one of Esquire's Best New Restaurants of 2024. Alongside its cocktail program, Late August has offered named non-alcoholic drinks including the Savannah (herbed peach syrup, candied ginger beer) and the Nopalito (prickly pear, orange juice, habanero tincture, Tajín rim).

Traveler's Table is a globally-inspired restaurant in Montrose, open since 2019 and built around dishes gathered from world travel — soft-shell crab fried rice, duck pad see ew, chiles en nogada, Nigerian suya skewers, Brazilian cheese bread — with a cocktail list that follows the same passport theme. It won Houston Press's Best of Houston 2025 award for Best Steak Night and has appeared on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For non-drinkers it prints a dedicated "No Proof" section of two spirit-free builds on Ritual Zero Proof alternatives: La Vida Tranquila, made with Ritual's tequila alternative, hibiscus simple, lime, a hibiscus salt rim and a candied hibiscus flower, and To Have And Have Not, built on Ritual's rum alternative with passion fruit, mango, mint, lime and soda. Both are $12, the same price as the alcoholic cocktails — a deliberate parity. The Montrose patio is the draw.
Signature NA drinks- La Vida Tranquila (Ritual tequila alternative, hibiscus simple, lime juice, hibiscus salt, dehydrated lime, candied hibiscus flower)
- To Have And Have Not (Ritual rum alternative, passion fruit, mango, mint, lime juice, soda, dehydrated lime, mint sprig)

Azumi's zero-proof program centers on two named, ingredient-driven cocktails — the Seedlip Garden-based Boketto and the tropical Matcha Colada — each priced at $14, on par with the restaurant's full-proof cocktail list rather than treated as an afterthought. Both drinks are independently confirmed, with matching names, ingredients, and prices, across Houston Dry January 2026 roundups (led by Community Impact), showing they're a standing bar-program feature rather than a one-off mention. Azumi itself is not an alcohol-free venue — it runs one of the region's largest sake lists alongside a full craft cocktail program — but its two zero-proof builds are real, specific, and consistently documented.
Signature NA drinks- Matcha Colada (matcha, coconut, pineapple, lime)
- Boketto (Seedlip Garden, jasmine green tea, cucumber, yuzu)

Prime 131 is Berg Hospitality's live-fire steakhouse, sushi bar, and Korean-BBQ concept in Houston's Lazybrook/Timbergrove neighborhood, named Best Steakhouse in Houston Press's 2024 Best of Houston awards and one of CultureMap's 12 best new restaurants of 2024. Its bar carries four signature zero-proof mocktails priced around $10-$12, on par with many of the restaurant's alcoholic cocktails rather than as an afterthought; confirmed builds include the Strawberry Rose Refresher and the Kosnopolitan. It remains a full-bar restaurant first, so this is a solid named NA list, not an alcohol-free destination.

Eunice, chef-partner Drake Leonards' modern Cajun-Creole brasserie and raw bar in Greenway Plaza, keeps a standing "Mocktails" section on its regular menu alongside its full bar and raw bar. Both current drinks — the Strawberry Fizz and the Prickly Pear Ade — are built with fresh fruit and citrus over Topo Chico rather than poured from a bottle. The kitchen has also rotated in named zero-proof cocktails using Cut Above 0% proof spirits for past Dry January menus, showing the non-alcoholic list gets real seasonal attention rather than sitting as an afterthought.
Signature NA drinks- Strawberry Fizz ($8) - strawberry, lemon, Topo Chico
- Prickly Pear Ade ($8) - prickly pear, lemon, lime, Topo Chico
What makes a great mocktail?
A great mocktail isn't just a cocktail with the alcohol removed. The best non-alcoholic drinks are designed from the ground up around the flavor profile, mouthfeel, and ritual of a craft cocktail — without leaning on alcohol as a shortcut.
The signal: named drinks on a published menu, fresh-pressed juices, house-made shrubs or syrups, bitters and tinctures for complexity, and increasingly an NA-spirits section (Lyre's, Seedlip, Ritual, Wilderton, and others) used the same way a cocktail bar uses gin or whiskey. The opposite: an off-menu "we can make something" with no specific drinks, defaulting to soda, juice, or sparkling water.
That distinction is why we rank venues by mocktail menu depth and NA Program Strength rather than treating every "mocktail option" as equal. A bar that lists three named NA cocktails on its printed menu is doing the work; a bar that says "we can probably do something" is not.
Frequently asked about mocktails in Houston
41 venues in Houston serve named non-alcoholic cocktails on their menu. Top picks include Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee World, Loro Houston, Taj A Sweet Cafe.
A mocktail is a non-alcoholic drink built with the same craft and complexity as a cocktail — fresh juices, infused syrups, bitters, herbal tinctures, NA spirits — rather than just a soda or juice. The best NA bars treat mocktails as a real program, not a placeholder.
Venues that publish named non-alcoholic cocktails come first, ordered by menu depth — the more named NA drinks a venue lists, the higher it ranks. Our NA Program Strength rating (1-5) breaks ties and reflects the program overall: 5 means a dedicated NA establishment, 4 an extensive NA menu, 3 meaningful NA options.
