Housed in a vintage 1910 structure, Lake Effect blends old-building character with a modern, multi-room layout: nightly live music ranges from jazz in the basement Rabbit Hole to acoustic sets on the main floor and DJs upstairs in Church on weekends. The kitchen's Latin-inspired menu — including its well-known Tin Can Nachos — is built to complement what's in the glass, whether that's a mezcal old fashioned or a zero-proof pour.
The non-alcoholic section is a genuine menu category rather than an afterthought, spanning Seedlip- and Monday Zero-based mocktails, Dhōs spirit-free highballs, and an NA whiskey sour finished with a clean (de-alcoholized) cabernet float. The bar is open daily from 11am to 1am in the heart of downtown.
