Marcy's

Marcy's opened at 39-40 Duxton Road in early 2021 as a modern seafood bistro, tucking an intimate bar counter against an eclectic Victorian-style interior with an edgy, low-lit dining room beyond. The kitchen takes familiar seafood ideas and reworks them, drawing on Latin American and Coastal Italian cooking with techniques borrowed from Peruvian, Japanese, Mexican, Chinese and Italian traditions, on a menu that shifts with the seasons.

The bar is the venue's late-night heart, open past the kitchen with craft spirits, cocktails and atypical small plates. For non-drinkers, the team mixes a short set of mocktails to order: a virgin mojito, a virgin Pimm's, and Island in the Sun, a fruity house build that Honeycombers recommends as a way to end the meal.
