Bar None is a zero-proof evening bar in Chicago's West Loop, running Friday to Sunday from 5pm to 11pm inside Froth, the coffee cafe in the lobby of The Duncan at 1515 W Monroe St. It launched on 28 February 2026 from Heritage Hospitality Group, the team behind Froth, with beverage director Luke Nevin-Gattle (previously Bunker and Larry's). Every cocktail is genuinely alcohol-free, built on real NA spirits at $13 — a St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, an espresso martini with Ritual rum alternative and Pathfinder, Good Vibrations with Ritual gin alternative and Giffard elderflower, a spicy margarita with Ritual agave and Lyre's Italian orange, and a Gold Rush — alongside nine non-alcoholic beers and ciders at $6 and Leitz Eins Zwei Zero wines at $9. IMPORTANT: the venue brands itself a THC-integrated sober lounge. Any cocktail can be upgraded with a 2.5mg THC microdose for $4, and it sells 5mg THC seltzers at $9. The alcohol-free drinks stand on their own, but anyone avoiding all intoxicants should order without the upgrade and skip the seltzers.

Killjoy is Nashville's first booze-free beverage shop, founded by Stephanie Styll, who stopped drinking at the end of 2020. It launched in 2023 as a hidden 200-square-foot space in Wedgewood-Houston before relocating in November 2024 to a storefront in The Shoppes on Fatherland in East Nashville. The shelves are entirely alcohol-free: NA beer, still and sparkling wine, zero-proof spirits, ready-to-drink cocktails, plus kava, adaptogens, and THC/CBD drinks, with a knowledgeable team to guide customers through the selection. Confirmed brands on its own store include Athletic Brewing, Best Day Brewing, Go Brewing, Untitled Art, Dromme, and Prima Pavé. Killjoy was named among the country's top nonalcoholic bottle shops by Wine Enthusiast, and Styll won a NEXT Award from the Nashville Entrepreneur Center in 2024. It runs frequent Dry January tastings and sober-social events.

Kosmic Community Anti Bar & Coffee Shop is a fully alcohol-free "anti bar" and cafe that opened in May 2024 in the former Mug & Cup space at 115 Avenue C in the East Village. It was founded by owner and East Village resident James Lockwood along with partners Tyler Garrett and Apostolos Filippas, who built it as a judgment-free social space for people with any relationship to sobriety. The owners are, in their words, "not big on mocktails," instead pouring a full coffee bar plus house-made sodas, herbal teas, fruit presses, and kava. The drink list also carries craft NA beer from Mash Gang, Athletic Brewing, and Go Brewing. The space keeps late hours — open until 2am Fridays and Saturdays — and features a retro lounge with a vintage phone booth and a back garden, hosting community events and live programming.

Sobr Market's Danforth location is a fully alcohol-free bottle shop in Toronto's Danforth Village, just east of Coxwell Avenue and outside the Greektown strip proper. It's a franchise of the Sobr Market chain — which also runs Toronto stores at The Well and Summerhill — opened in 2025 and run by owner Jenn. Every product on the shelves is zero-proof: non-alcoholic wine, beer, spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails, curated into vegan, organic, gluten-free, kosher and halal selections.

Epiphany opened at the end of 2022 on Highland Avenue in the Original Highlands, describing itself as a cocktail bar, brewery and spirits house built around bringing the farm-to-table idea into drinks. That premise is why its non-alcoholic drinks work: when the programme already runs on local produce, house syrups and infusions, removing the alcohol removes one ingredient rather than the whole structure. The alcohol-free list rotates seasonally. Verified builds include the Orange Turmeric Limeade, made with local honey from Happy Jack's Pumpkin Farm, orange blossom water and mint, and a seasonal Rose Ginger Lemonade. It is one of the city's most-cited zero-proof programmes.

Gunther & Co. is a modern American restaurant in the historic Gunther Boiler Building at 3650 Toone Street in Brewers Hill, open since May 2016 under executive chef and co-owner Jerry Trice — a Culinary Institute of America graduate who pioneered ChefDriven, the first restaurant-style food truck in Washington DC, named the city's best by both Washingtonian and The Washington Post in 2012. Almost everything is made in house, including the ice cream, burger buns and brunch biscuits. Its printed "Zero Proof Cocktails" section runs three house-built drinks: the Amalfi Spritz ($12, house-made zero-proof Amalfi aperitif, Lyre's NA sparkling wine, soda, orange), Spa Water ($9, house cantaloupe-pandan shrub, coconut water, lemon, soda) and Rose of Althea ($6, house hibiscus shrub, lime, soda). Five non-alcoholic beers follow — Go Brewing, Ceria, Athletic, New Trail and Estrella Galicia 0.0 — plus Fever-Tree and Q Drinks sodas at $5. Parking is free and the list rotates seasonally.

Porzana is Daniel del Prado's Argentinian wood-fire steakhouse in the North Loop, occupying the former Bachelor Farmer space on North 1st Street. It keeps one of the deepest standing spirit-free lists in the city: six non-alcoholic drinks, five of them at $13, listed on the same cocktail menu as the full-strength ones rather than tucked away. The house builds are the Sanguino, with blood orange, white chocolate, rhubarb, elderflower, lime and sparkling tea, and the Serrata, with blackberry, hibiscus, beet, Greek yogurt and lemon. A tarragon and verde tea drink called T&T, two Copenhagen sparkling teas and a dealcoholised sparkling rose complete the section.

The Bartender's Handshake is a vintage-styled cocktail bar on Ingersoll Avenue, open 2pm to 1am seven days a week and to 2am at weekends — the widest hours of any venue in this city guide. Its two documented alcohol-free builds are unusually savoury: the Vacation Email uses orange spice tea with grapefruit, lime, cinnamon, tonic and coconut, and the Karate Kid runs carrot and ginger syrup against lime, ginger beer, ancho chili and mint. Two sources of heat and a vegetable base is about as far from a sweet mocktail as a bar can get, and it is what makes both drinkable across a long evening.

The Guild House is Cameron Mitchell Restaurants' farm-to-table dining room on North High Street in the Short North, and was awarded One Michelin Key in 2024. Its beverage menu carries a printed section headed ZERO PROOF, which is what separates it from the many Columbus restaurants that will improvise something on request. The section runs six deep: Mionetto alcohol-removed sparkling wine from the Veneto by the glass or bottle, an Orange Spritz built on a spiritless aperitif and the same Mionetto, a Citrus Ginger made with Seedlip Grove 42, lime and candied ginger, a Blackberry Smash of blackberries, pomegranate and fresh citrus, an Espresso No-Tini using Lyre's coffee originale with fresh espresso, brown sugar and cinnamon, and a rotating Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic beer. Prices sit between $7 and $11.

Colita is a Tex-Oaxacan restaurant from chef Daniel del Prado's DDP Restaurant Group (the Martina and Bar La Grassa team), open since October 2018 in a converted former gas station at 54th & Penn in southwest Minneapolis's Armatage neighborhood. Named after del Prado's first dog, it pairs Oaxacan-influenced barbecue, creative tacos, and mole-driven dishes with a well-regarded bar program in a fully gluten-free kitchen. The drinks menu carries a dedicated "Zero Proof" section of four house-made, $10 non-alcoholic cocktails built with the same care as its alcoholic list — fruit-, herb-, and tea-forward sodas finished with carbonation. Named pours include the rose-and-raspberry Rosas, the citrus-and-lychee Naranjitas, a cinnamon coconut-milk Horchata, and the honey-sarsaparilla 3leche Miele. The program is a real, named NA list but a focused one — a strong complement to the meal rather than a full standalone bar menu.
