Best Mocktails in Philadelphia, PA
Philadelphia has quietly built one of the deepest non-alcoholic scenes outside the coasts. It's anchored by Bar Palmina, the city's first fully zero-proof cocktail bar in Fishtown, plus a cluster of alcohol-free kava and elixir lounges (Old City Kava, FaceClock, Jaya Kava); on the Main Line, Wallace Dry Goods is a fully spirit-free bottle shop. The real depth is in cocktail bars and restaurants treating zero-proof as a real menu — R&D and Post Haste in Fishtown and Kensington, all-vegan Charlie was a sinner., sober-owned Wilder, Latin-leaning Bolo, and Polish standout Little Walter's — while Bar Hygge's in-house Brewery Techne and barrel-aged coffee bar Char & Stave round out the range.

A La Mousse is a Chinatown dessert cafe and tea house that opens at noon and runs to eleven at night, midnight on Friday and Saturday, with no alcohol on the premises at any point. The drinks are the reason to go rather than an afterthought to the cakes: fruit teas including a mango lychee and a passion fruit peach, a pomegranate strawberry lemonade, a lemonade mint tea, and milk-foam teas built on rose and on oolong. The matcha list runs to a cherry blossom matcha latte alongside peach, coconut and almond milk versions. For a city where almost every late option has a liquor licence, a Chinatown room serving properly built tea drinks until midnight is a genuinely useful address.

- Pomegranate Strawberry Lemonade
- Lemonade Mint Tea
- Rose Tea Milk Foam
- Oolong Tea Milk Foam

Tea Do has traded on North 10th Street in Chinatown for fifteen years — it marked the anniversary in July 2026 — and it runs to half past ten most nights and half past eleven on Friday and Saturday. The tea list is numbered like a menu in a proper tea house rather than a coffee shop: the Grasshopper Tea Special pairs green apple and pear with green tea and lychee jelly, Honey Jazz builds honey, jasmine and lemon over cold jasmine green tea, The Hulk runs kiwi, green apple and lychee, and First Love combines red guava and passion fruit. The Tiger Milk Tea is the brown sugar and tapioca build, and Fire Dragon layers red bean, milk, grass jelly and tapioca. No alcohol is served.

Haraz Coffee House's Fishtown room opened in October 2025 as the chain's second Philadelphia location, and it trades until midnight from Thursday through Saturday — genuinely late for a room that serves no alcohol at all. The menu is the traditional Yemeni repertoire: jubani made from coffee and the husk of the coffee cherry with cinnamon and ginger, qishr brewed from the husk alone, harazi mufawar with cardamom and cream, and sana'ani, a black coffee with cardamom. The tea side runs to adeni karak chai with the house haraz spice blend and cream, and a saffron version of the same. The Philadelphia Inquirer has covered the city's Yemeni coffeehouse boom repeatedly, describing these rooms as spaces without alcohol or reservations.
Signature NA drinks- Jubani — coffee with coffee-cherry husk, cinnamon and ginger
- Qishr — infusion of coffee husks with cinnamon and ginger
- Harazi Mufawar — coffee, cardamom and cream
- Sana'ani — black coffee with cardamom

Shibam Coffee opened on Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia on the first Friday of Ramadan in February 2026, the first Philadelphia site for a Yemeni chain that runs thirteen locations nationally. It trades until midnight on Friday and Saturday and ten every other night, and its Instagram bio states plainly that everything on the menu is halal. The drinks are the Yemeni canon done properly: jubani made with coffee and coffee-cherry husks served with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon; adeni, a Yemeni black tea with cardamom, nutmeg and milk; mofawar, coffee with cardamom and cream; the house Shibam coffee, a light roast with husks, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and cream; and a Saudi coffee with cardamom and saffron. The Philadelphia Inquirer covered the opening.

Queen & Rook is a board game cafe on South Street with a printed menu section headed "Zero Proof Cocktails & Beer", eight drinks deep and flat-priced at $8 — one of the longest non-alcoholic lists in Philadelphia. Princess Rosalina builds butterfly pea tea with lychee, lime and soda; Galadriel runs pineapple and lychee against jalapeño, tajín and cilantro; Abraxos gets Iron Teeth uses a blackberry shrub with mint and lemon; and Smaug's Scales pairs a strawberry shrub with basil and lemon. A non-alcoholic Butterbeer is $10. The bottled list carries Guinness 0, two Best Day beers and St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, and eight house loose-leaf teas are served by cup or pot. It runs to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Haraz Coffee House's University City room on Chestnut Street was the chain's first Philadelphia location, sitting in the middle of the Penn and Drexel campuses and keeping hours that suit them — seven in the morning to ten at night, and eleven on Friday and Saturday. The menu is the full Yemeni list: jubani and qishr built on coffee-cherry husks with cinnamon and ginger, harazi mufawar with cardamom and cream, sana'ani black coffee with cardamom, and the adeni karak chai brewed with the house haraz spice blend. A student neighbourhood is exactly where an alcohol-free room open late earns its keep, and the venue runs events — a Mahjong and Matcha night among them — rather than functioning purely as a counter service.

- Qishr — infusion of coffee husks with cinnamon and ginger
- Harazi Mufawar — coffee, cardamom and cream

Mango Mango Dessert on Cherry Street keeps the most consistent late hours of any alcohol-free room in Chinatown: noon until eleven at night, seven days a week, with no shorter weeknight schedule. The house style is Hong Kong dessert-shop cooking, where the drinks and the desserts are the same thing — the Special Mango Juice with sago and pomelo topped with mango ice cream is the signature, and there are coconut and strawberry versions of the same build. The more adventurous end runs to coconut juice with durian and black rice, and a lychee jasmine rose drink. Sago and pomelo are the traditional Cantonese pairing, and the pomelo's slight bitterness is what keeps these from being merely sweet.
Signature NA drinks- Special Mango Juice Sago & Pomelo with Mango Ice Cream
- Coconut Mango Juice Sago & Pomelo
- Strawberry Mango Juice Sago & Lychee Jelly
- Coconut Juice with Durian and Black Rice
- Lychee Jasmine Rose Drink

Lightbox Cafe is an all-vegan, fully alcohol-free cafe and lounge in Queen Village billed as the Philadelphia region's first kava bar, home to the Jaya Kava kava program. Note that it now trades daytime hours only, closing at 5pm and shut Sunday and Monday, so it works as an afternoon alternative rather than an evening one. It was founded by Jennifer Hombach - a sustainability activist and yoga teacher who first built Jaya Kava as a pop-up - together with Gabriel Vazquez, a former operations manager at Philadelphia Brewing Co. The two opened the South 4th Street location in 2021. The concept is deliberate: an alcohol-free alternative to the neighborhood bar, serving certified Pacific-Island kava straight in coconut shells or mixed into "kavatails," alongside kratom teas, herbal elixirs, cacao drinks, and superfood smoothies. Named pours include House Kava Kava, Mylky Kava, Cacao Kava, the Kava Mule, Kava Colada, Passion Fruit Kava and the Hibiscus Kava Spritz. The plant-based food menu spans bowls, toasts, wraps, and vegan desserts.

- Kava Colada (kava blended with frozen pineapple, fresh lime juice, coconut cream, agave) $13

- Cacao Kava (kava brewed with organic cacao, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, Himalayan salt)
- Passion Fruit Kava (kava shaken with passion fruit, lime, muddled mint) $11
- Hibiscus Kava Spritz (kava shaken with hibiscus, lime, muddled mint, palo santo bitters, lavender lemonade, club soda) $12

Flight Club is a social darts venue on Walnut Street, and it carries the deepest named non-alcoholic beer list found anywhere in Philadelphia: five, all priced and named — Sam Adams Just the Haze, Athletic's Cerveza Atlética, Lagunitas IPNA, Sierra Nevada Hop Splash and Guinness 0. On the cocktail side the Midway Splash builds Seedlip Grove 42 with pineapple, lemon and tonic, and there is a Lyre's flight of three at $13 running a G&T, an Amalfi Spritz and a Classico. The format is the real draw: the evening is organised around playing darts rather than around drinking, and the venue runs to one in the morning on Friday and Saturday.
Signature NA drinks- Midway Splash ($14) — Seedlip Grove 42, pineapple, lemon, tonic
- Lyre's flight ($13) — G&T, Amalfi Spritz and Classico, all alcohol-free

Laser Wolf is Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook's Israeli grill in Kensington, built around salatim — a spread of small salads — followed by charcoal-grilled skewers. Its menu carries a printed "Zero Proof" section, and the reason it is thought through rather than perfunctory is that Solomonov has been sober for more than a decade; Visit Philadelphia notes that all of his restaurants carry considered non-alcoholic options. The Laser Lemonade combines lemon with cardamom, orange blossom and butterfly pea flower; the Passion Fruit Cooler runs passion fruit, lime, orange and cilantro, which is built to cut through charcoal-grilled meat. There is also a hibiscus, rose and mint iced tea and Unified Ferments kombucha.
Signature NA drinks- Laser Lemonade ($7) — lemon, cardamom, orange blossom, butterfly pea flower
- Passion Fruit Cooler ($6) — passion fruit, lime, orange, cilantro
- Hibiscus-Rose-Mint Iced Tea ($5)
- Unified Ferments Kombucha ($10)
- Banana Phone — banana ginger beer, club soda

Jerry's Bar is a Northern Liberties corner bar in a former general store, and its menu carries a printed "Mocktails" heading with four house builds between $8 and $9. The NA Toasted Coconut Espresso Martini is the most technically ambitious — cold brew with a toasted coconut simple syrup and coconut purée, shaken to the foam an espresso martini lives or dies by. Lady Lavender runs citrus with lavender simple and club soda; Sunflower Fizz uses a blackberry sunflower simple with pomegranate and lemon; and Hibiscus Breeze pairs hibiscus tea and grapefruit with a spicy lavender syrup. Athletic Brewing's non-alcoholic beer is $8. The Philadelphia Inquirer covered the bar as part of the city's first large-scale Dry January bar crawl in January 2026.
Signature NA drinks- NA Toasted Coconut Espresso Martini ($9) — cold brew, toasted coconut simple, coconut purée
- Lady Lavender ($8) — citrus, lavender simple, club soda
- Sunflower Fizz ($8) — blackberry sunflower simple, pomegranate, lemon, club soda
- Hibiscus Breeze ($9) — hibiscus tea, grapefruit, spicy lavender simple, club soda
- Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic beer ($8)

Bloomsday is a small wine bar and cafe near Headhouse Square, and it does something almost no other bar in Philadelphia does: it runs a $6 non-alcoholic happy hour price all the time, year-round, rather than only in January. Cuddles on the Beach pairs pomegranate with orange; there is a house-made ginger beer, which is worth ordering because a genuine ginger beer is fermented and hot rather than sweet; and the fridge carries Well Being's non-alcoholic IPA, Collective Arts Hazy at 0.5% and Athletic's golden ale. For a wine bar — the venue type where a non-drinker is usually offered the least — a permanent zero-proof price is a meaningful commitment.
Signature NA drinks- Cuddles on the Beach ($6) — pomegranate, orange
- House-made ginger beer ($6)
- Well Being non-alcoholic IPA
- Collective Arts Hazy IPA (0.5%)
- Athletic Brewing golden ale

Royal Sushi & Izakaya in Queen Village runs a front-of-house izakaya and a twelve-seat omakase counter behind it, and chef-owner Jesse Ito is himself sober — which shows in how the non-alcoholic side is handled. The Yuzu Spritz builds yuzu and lime with plum bitters and soda; the Ginger Mint Smash runs mint and a ginger syrup with lime. Beyond the house builds the fridge is unusually well chosen: Athletic's Upside Dawn at 0.5%, Leitz Eins Zwei Zero sparkling Riesling as a genuine alternative to sake or wine with the food, and Kimino sodas made with Japanese fruit. For a sushi restaurant, having a proper non-alcoholic pairing rather than green tea is the whole point.
Signature NA drinks- Yuzu Spritz — yuzu, lime, plum bitters, soda
- Ginger Mint Smash — mint, ginger syrup, lime
- Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn (0.5%) — non-alcoholic golden ale
- Leitz Eins Zwei Zero — de-alcoholised sparkling Riesling
- Kimino sodas — made with Japanese yuzu and ume

Bar Palmina is Philadelphia's first fully zero-proof cocktail bar, where everything served — down to the bitters — is alcohol-free. It opened in Fishtown in 2024, founded by Nikki Graziano, who built the bar after a 2022 liver transplant prompted by alcohol-related liver failure and her subsequent path to sobriety. The bar is named for her Italian-American grandmother, Palmina. The menu runs about 22 signature and classic non-alcoholic cocktails alongside 11 NA wines and proxies and 7 NA beers, with house-made and from-scratch infusions throughout. Named drinks include the Yuzu Negroni, D'Argento (rice-washed white tea, cucumber, juniper, yuzu), The Lifesaver (lemongrass, ginger, coconut), and the Limonhattan. The living-room-style lounge also screens soccer matches. It was named Philadelphia Magazine's Best Non-Alcoholic Bar in 2025.

Old City Kava Company is a fully alcohol-free kava and kratom lounge that opened in December 2025 at 40 S. 2nd Street in Philadelphia's historic Old City. Founded by Luca Kobza and Adam Lagner, the 1,900-square-foot space is built as a bar alternative for the sober-curious, with roughly 60 seats across a bar, two-tops, and jewel-toned couches, a small board-game collection, and rotating contemporary art for sale. FaceClock Zero-Proof Lounge & Gallery is a fully alcohol-free spot near Philadelphia's Fishtown/Olde Kensington border, billed as the city's first zero-proof lounge. It was founded by Anastasia Farber, a former bartender who used her mixology background to build a place where people could socialize and "not be forced to have a drink in their hand." The roughly 1,100-square-foot space is part Adaptogen Bar, part rotating art gallery (works for sale), part small NA bottleshop, and part event venue hosting poetry slams, movie nights, and art parties. Drinks lean on natural ingredients and adaptogenic blends: the Elderberry Healer (Hatchet Granny, elderberry, lemon, soda, honey, black pepper), house Dandelion Root Tea, build-your-own Adaptogen Spritzes, and slow-simmered Eastern-European kompots. Its tagline: "Zero proof; full expression."

R&D is a craft cocktail bar in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood, opened in October 2018 in the former Root Restaurant & Wine Bar space at 1206 Frankford Avenue. It's run by Defined Hospitality, the group behind Suraya, Pizzeria Beddia, Condesa, and Kalaya; the cocktail program was built by Aaron Deary and is curated by bar manager Resa Mueller. R&D has won Best of Philly for Best Cocktail Bar. Beyond its acclaimed full bar, R&D maintains a permanent zero-proof presence on its menu, and bartenders also build custom non-alcoholic drinks on request. Mueller refreshes the zero-proof cocktails every few months, leaning on tiki-style builds with fresh juices, coconut, house-made syrups, small-batch sodas, and tannic teas. Little Walter's is a 32-seat modern Polish restaurant and bar in East Kensington, opened in June 2024 by chef-owner Michael Brenfleck as a tribute to his late grandfather, Walter Bubick. The kitchen emphasizes scratch cooking and regional sourcing — house-made sourdough rye, pierogi ruskie, kielbasa, and rotisserie pork over bigos. In 2024 it was the only Philadelphia restaurant named to The New York Times' "Restaurant List: 50 Favorite Places in America Right Now," and it won a Philadelphia Magazine Best of Philly award. The bar runs a dedicated zero-proof section on its menu titled "bezalkoholowe" (Polish for "non-alcoholic"), priced at $7, alongside the cocktail, wine, and beer lists. Named NA drinks include the Mleczarz (whey, apple shrub, dill), Sadownik (tart cherry, orange, cardamom), Zielarz (rosemary honey, herbal tea, bitters), and Feniks, plus a non-alcoholic beer.

Charlie was a sinner. is an all-vegan cocktail bar and small-plates restaurant in Philadelphia's Midtown Village, opened in 2014 by Nicole Marquis, the restaurateur behind the HipCityVeg and Bar Bombón plant-based ventures. The dimly lit, candle-lit room — brass bar top, button-tufted banquettes, antique fixtures — is fully plant-based across food and drink. Its craft cocktail program runs deep, and alongside the spirited list it keeps a standing "Zero Proof" section of roughly four non-alcoholic cocktails around $11, built on house-made syrups, cordials, and even a house-made zero-proof gin rather than off-the-shelf substitutes. Current zero-proof pours include No Regrets (house zero-proof gin, lemon, sparkling water), Spicy Pineapple (pineapple, agave, lime, house spice blend), a Basil Fennel Lemon Soda, and a Blackberry Ginger Soda. Visit Philly highlights it as "an upscale respite" on alcohol-heavy 13th Street that "always has several zero-proof options."

Bolo is chef Yun Fuentes's Latin American dining room and rum bar in Rittenhouse Square, open since 2023 at 2025 Sansom Street. The bi-level, vividly colorful space draws on Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Dominican cuisine and is named for Fuentes's grandfather, Juan "Bolo" Fuentes; the chef was a 2024 James Beard Awards semifinalist for Best Emerging Chef. While the bar centers on a deep rum roster, beverage director Tony Jimenez — a PUNCH "Best New Bartenders 2024" finalist — builds a genuine spirit-free cocktail menu alongside it. Zero-proof options include the No Jito (Lyre's White Cane, lime, mint, soda), Punch It (Lyre's Dark Cane, mango, coconut, ginger beer), Hibiscus Lemonade (Lyre's Dry London, lemon, hibiscus), and an N/Amaro & Coke (Pathfinder NA Amaro, guarapo, cola). Char & Stave is an all-day cafe and cocktail bar in Ardmore, opened March 21, 2022 by Jared Adkins, owner and master distiller of Phoenixville's Bluebird Distilling, with head distiller Scott Gilbert. The concept — "coffee made by whiskey people" — uses Bluebird's spent bourbon barrels to age coffee beans, drawing vanilla, caramel, and spice notes into the roast. The 42-seat space pours espresso, nitro cold brew, barrel-aged espresso, and signature lattes by day, then shifts to cocktails in the evening. For zero-proof drinkers, the menu carries a dedicated, clearly labeled section, "Handcrafted Non-Alcoholic Options, for here or to-go," that mirrors the cocktail list. Named alcohol-free builds include a Barrel-Aged "Old Fashioned," a Matcha "Mojito," an Espresso Tonic, a Chai Blossom, Espresso Y Amaro, and Flora & Fauna. Bar Hygge is a Fairmount brewpub open since 2016, run by owners Stew and Julie Keener, Tom Baker, and Peggy Zwerver. Named for the Danish concept of cozy contentment (pronounced "huu-guh"), it houses Brewery Techne, a 10-barrel brewhouse pouring rotating house draft and cask beers alongside contemporary American boards and comfort-food entrees. The venue is recognized for an inclusive, sober-friendly approach: alongside the bar's cocktails and draft wines, it stocks alcohol-removed wine, a zero-proof amaro, and signature non-alcoholic cocktails. Visit Philadelphia's zero-proof guide highlights two named mocktails — "Amateur Jazz," built on Ritual's gin alternative with cinchona bark, herbs, citrus, and soda, and "Spice Up Your Life," made with Seedlip Garden 108, caramelized pineapple, strawberry oleo saccharum, jalapeño, lemon, and soda — plus a lavender lemonade and a Ritual/Seedlip spritz. Herman's Coffee is a coffee roastery, café, and specialty market in Philadelphia's Pennsport neighborhood, opened by owner Mat Falco in 2017 inside a former auto-mechanic's shop. Beginning in 2020 — after discovering the non-alcoholic aperitif Ghia — Falco built what the Philadelphia Inquirer calls one of the region's largest zero-proof selections: over 200 non-alcoholic wines, spirits, and beers, plus 50–75 mixers and syrups and more than 100 bitters, much of it sold to take home. By day, the café pours house-made non-alcoholic creations such as the Blood Orange Espresso Tonic, Lavender Lemonade Spritz, and the "Don't Call Me Shirley Temple." Urban Farmer is the steakhouse inside the Logan Hotel on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and its drinks menu carries a printed section headed "No Proof Cocktails" rather than burying the alcohol-free options among the soft drinks. The Cadillac Shirley Temple at $12 is the one worth ordering — house grenadine and verjus with lemon-lime soda and a cherry, where the verjus does the job a dry wine would. The Crimson Fizz pairs cranberry with a cranberry shrub and Fever-Tree ginger beer, and the Fauxpresso Negroni builds St. Agrestis Phony Espresso Negroni into cold brew with orange. Athletic Brewing's Upside Dawn covers the beer side. The kitchen serves from seven in the morning until half past eleven at night.

Front Street Cafe in Fishtown runs an all-day operation under the Market-Frankford El, and its menu carries a printed "Zero Proof" section — four drinks, every one built on an alcohol-free spirit rather than juice. The Zero Proof Louie is the simplest, honey and lime with Ritual gin. The Refresher runs Ritual gin into a house ginger syrup with cranberry, ginger ale and strawberries. The Buffalo is the most interesting build in the city's zero-proof canon, combining Ritual whiskey with pomegranate syrup and Seedlip Spice 94 — two different alcohol-free spirits layered in one glass, which almost nobody does. The Mocha Espresso Martini uses Ritual tequila with espresso, house chocolate sauce and peppermint syrup. Dinner runs to ten on Friday and Saturday.

48 Record Bar is a vinyl listening room and cocktail bar that opened in December 2023 on the second floor above Sassafras Bar in Old City, Philadelphia. It was founded by Donal McCoy, owner of Sassafras and the former Tin Angel music venue, with Joey Sweeney. Inspired by Tokyo's audiophile "kissa" bars, the roughly 45-seat room pairs a high-fidelity vinyl sound system with a menu of about 16 cocktails, plus beer and wine. The bar carries a small but genuine named zero-proof lineup alongside its full cocktail list, including the Polyester Dinosaur (pineapple, turmeric-honey syrup, ginger, tajín rim) and a Coconut Matcha Mojito (cream of coconut, lime, matcha), with seasonal additions like a Moroccan mint tea mocktail and a "hot mocklate" with pistachio orgeat. There are no reservations; the room hosts listening parties and vinyl events.

Post Haste is a farm-to-glass cocktail bar and restaurant that opened in June 2023 at 2519 Frankford Ave in Philadelphia's East Kensington neighborhood, led by beverage director Fred Beebe and director of operations Gabe Guerrero. Its defining conceit is hyper-regional sourcing: every spirit, beer, wine, herb, and mixer comes from east of the Mississippi River. That same craft extends to a dedicated "Free Spirit" zero-proof section, where the bar builds non-alcoholic cocktails with as much intent as the full-proof list. Current spirit-free pours include the Tea El See (Charleston black tea, condensed oat milk, allspice, cardamom, pandan, and Ritual non-alcoholic aperitivo), the Holy Negroni, and Peachy Keen. Post Haste was named to Esquire's Best Bars in America 2024, one of two Philadelphia bars on that year's list. NA cocktails run $12–$14.

Wilder is a three-story, 150-seat restaurant, bar, and private-event space that opened in March 2022 in Rittenhouse, inside the former Philadelphia Academy of Social Dance building at 2009 Sansom Street. It was founded by husband-and-wife team Brett Naylor and Nicole Barrick, who designed the eclectic interior and brought on executive chef Bob Truitt (formerly of Corton, Buddakan, and Morimoto). Because Barrick and Naylor are both sober, Wilder maintains one of the most developed non-alcoholic drink programs in Philadelphia, with zero-proof cocktails on both the regular and happy-hour menus, each around $10. Named alcohol-free options include Doctor's Orders (lapsang souchong, ginger, honey), One Last Question (sarsaparilla, vanilla, lime), and Top Shelf Bubbles (a spritz of orange, lime, and TÖST NA Sparkling). Visit Philadelphia and Philadelphia Magazine have both spotlighted the venue's zero-proof offerings.

Spice Finch is a Mediterranean restaurant on South 17th Street in Rittenhouse whose menu carries a printed "Non-Alcoholic Cocktails" section, priced between $6 and $7 — noticeably cheaper than most zero-proof lists in the city, and two of them drop to $4 at happy hour. Tradewinds builds mint tea with a coriander syrup and lemon, which is the most interesting of the three because coriander seed is a warm, citrusy spice rather than a sweet one. Cooler Than A Cucumber runs cucumber with juniper and lime, using the defining botanical of gin without the gin. French 37.5 is the aperitif-style option, grapefruit and lavender with lemon and tonic. The kitchen opens at four and runs to nine.

Other Half Brewing's Philadelphia taproom on Canal Street prints an "NA Beverages" section directly on its live draft list, which is rarer among breweries than it should be. The anchor is All In, Other Half's own non-alcoholic hazy IPA at under 0.5% ABV — hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Centennial, giving notes of peach candy, ripe grapefruit and mango. That it is brewed in-house rather than bought in matters: this is a brewery known nationally for hop-forward beer applying that expertise to a beer with the alcohol taken out. Alongside it the taproom pours St. Agrestis Phony White Negroni and Phony Mezcal Negroni. The room runs to eleven on Friday and Saturday.
Signature NA drinks- All In (0.5% ABV) — Other Half's own non-alcoholic hazy IPA, hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Centennial: peach candy, ripe grapefruit, mango

Andra Hem — Swedish for "second home" — is a Scandinavian-inspired cocktail lounge that opened in November 2022 in a four-story black-painted townhouse at 16th and Chancellor in Rittenhouse. Founded by art collector Paige West, with interiors by designer Ghislaine Viñas built around a fictional Swedish proprietor, the bar deliberately launched with no public-relations push yet landed on Esquire's Best Bars in America list in 2023. Lead bartender Patrick Jennings runs a cocktail program that leans Nordic, alongside snacks like warm bread, pickled herring, and caviar. Its menu carries a dedicated "Low ABV & Non-Alcoholic" section with three named zero-proof builds at $11 each: the Squirt Gun (bitter soda and espresso), The Linc (cucumber water, dill, lime, soda), and Touch Nothing But the Lamp (jasmine tea, fruit, citrus, soda). The NA list is small but real and house-made.

Assembly is the rooftop lounge on top of the Logan Hotel, looking across Logan Square to the Art Museum and the Parkway, and it runs to two in the morning on Friday and Saturday. Its menu carries a printed section headed "Non-Alcoholic Imbibements" — a deliberately unapologetic name for a category usually labelled as an afterthought. The Strawberry Ginger Smash at $12 muddles strawberry with ginger and lemon over ginger beer; the Cucumber Mint 'Gin' Spritz at $14 runs cucumber and mint with lime and lemon-lime soda. A rooftop is one of the better settings for an evening without alcohol, because the view supplies the reason to be there and nobody is standing at a bar.
Signature NA drinks- Strawberry Ginger Smash ($12) — strawberry, ginger, lemon, ginger beer
- Cucumber Mint 'Gin' Spritz ($14) — cucumber, mint, lime, lemon-lime soda

The Twisted Tail is a Southern-leaning whiskey bar and live-music room on Headhouse Square, and its zero-proof drinks are unusual in reaching for the serious end of the non-alcoholic aperitif market rather than for syrups. The Zero Proof Ginger Spritz at $13 is built on Ghia, the bitter Mediterranean aperitivo whose gentian and elderflower give it genuine astringency. The Zero Proof Chili Margarita, also $13, uses Aplós — an alcohol-free spirit made with adaptogens — against Persian lime, habanero and sea salt. Both are priced level with the bar's alcoholic cocktails, which is a deliberate statement about the labour involved. The room runs to midnight on Friday and opens at ten on Sunday.

Fitz on 4th is a fully vegan restaurant and bar on South 4th Street in Queen Village, and its zero-proof drinks are built with the same care as its food. The Super Fruit Martini uses a zero-proof gin with a super-fruit blend, a cranberry reduction and lemon, finished with a silky foam — and the foam matters, because a vegan kitchen cannot reach for egg white, so the texture has to come from aquafaba or a plant protein instead. Lia's Lavender Lemonade is the lighter option. A hundred-per-cent vegan room is a natural fit for this directory: the kitchen is already used to building flavour without a default ingredient, which is exactly the problem a good non-alcoholic drink has to solve.

Dear Daphni is a Greek restaurant on the ground floor of The Laurel in Rittenhouse, and its non-alcoholic drinks draw on the eastern Mediterranean pantry rather than on a generic syrup rail. The Honey Bee combines a non-alcoholic gin with sumac honey, lemon and Pinamor — sumac being the dark red, intensely tart berry that Levantine and Greek cooking uses where others would reach for lemon, and which gives the drink an acidity quite unlike citrus. A second build runs a non-alcoholic rum with pineapple, lime and Persian cucumber. Dinner runs from four in the afternoon to ten, and to eleven on Friday and Saturday.

Forsythia is a contemporary French bistro in Philadelphia's Old City, opened in 2019 by chef-proprietor Christopher Kearse. Set on Chestnut Street with an open kitchen and a bright, modern dining room, it serves elevated, often-rotating French fare alongside a wine-forward bar program and craft cocktails. The kitchen earned a spot in the MICHELIN Guide's Philadelphia recognition (Recommended, 2025). For non-drinkers, Forsythia keeps a small but real zero-proof offering at its full bar: the headliner is the "75 Year Old Virgin," a spirit-free riff on the classic French 75 built on juniper, cara cara orange, and lemon for a citrusy, botanical, gin-like character — a drink Philadelphia Magazine singled out among the city's best non-alcoholic cocktails. The bar also pours "Steep Calm," an ashwagandha-honey, coconut-water, and prickly-pear mocktail, plus Stella Artois 0.0% NA beer.

Talula's Garden looks onto Washington Square from the east side of the park, and is best known for a cheese programme that runs to a dedicated cave and a farm-driven seasonal menu. Its non-alcoholic offering is short but well made: The Perfectionist at $13 combines DHOS bittersweet aperitif with Töst alcohol-free sparkling, citrus, lavender and rosemary — an aperitif-style build with real bitterness and two herbs that place it alongside the kitchen's cooking rather than against it. Athletic Brewing's Run Wild IPA is $8. One house drink is a modest list, but the composition is serious and the setting is one of the more pleasant places in the city to spend a long evening.

The Dandelion is a British-style pub off Rittenhouse Square, part of the Starr Restaurants group, done in the full country-pub register — snugs, patterned wallpaper, fish and chips, a Sunday roast. Its non-alcoholic provision is bottled rather than mixed, but it is honestly labelled on the printed beer list: Athletic Brewing's Upside Dawn golden ale at $7, marked non-alcoholic, and St. Agrestis's Phony Negroni. That is a shorter answer than a cocktail bar would give, and we grade it accordingly. What it offers instead is a proper pub that serves food all day and stays open to midnight on Friday and Saturday, where nursing a non-alcoholic pint attracts no attention whatsoever.

- St. Agrestis Phony Negroni — alcohol-free bottled aperitif

What makes a great mocktail?
A great mocktail isn't just a cocktail with the alcohol removed. The best non-alcoholic drinks are designed from the ground up around the flavor profile, mouthfeel, and ritual of a craft cocktail — without leaning on alcohol as a shortcut.
The signal: named drinks on a published menu, fresh-pressed juices, house-made shrubs or syrups, bitters and tinctures for complexity, and increasingly an NA-spirits section (Lyre's, Seedlip, Ritual, Wilderton, and others) used the same way a cocktail bar uses gin or whiskey. The opposite: an off-menu "we can make something" with no specific drinks, defaulting to soda, juice, or sparkling water.
That distinction is why we rank venues by mocktail menu depth and NA Program Strength rather than treating every "mocktail option" as equal. A bar that lists three named NA cocktails on its printed menu is doing the work; a bar that says "we can probably do something" is not.
Frequently asked about mocktails in Philadelphia
38 venues in Philadelphia serve named non-alcoholic cocktails on their menu. Top picks include A La Mousse, Tea Do, Haraz Coffee House (Fishtown).
A mocktail is a non-alcoholic drink built with the same craft and complexity as a cocktail — fresh juices, infused syrups, bitters, herbal tinctures, NA spirits — rather than just a soda or juice. The best NA bars treat mocktails as a real program, not a placeholder.
Venues that publish named non-alcoholic cocktails come first, ordered by menu depth — the more named NA drinks a venue lists, the higher it ranks. Our NA Program Strength rating (1-5) breaks ties and reflects the program overall: 5 means a dedicated NA establishment, 4 an extensive NA menu, 3 meaningful NA options.
