Notch Brewing's Brighton site is a 2,000 sq ft biergarten and taproom at 525 Western Avenue, in the restored Charles River Speedway headquarters, opened in July 2021 as the brewery's second location after its Salem home. Notch was founded by Chris Lohring in 2010 as the first US brewery to build itself entirely around session beer, and every beer it makes sits at or below 4.5% ABV. Beyond Proof is a fully alcohol-free craft cocktail bar at 597 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, opened in April 2026 by Krista Kranyak, who converted her own long-running restaurant Ten Tables into what is widely reported as Boston's first zero-proof bar. Alden & Harlow is chef-owner Michael Scelfo's New American restaurant at 40 Brattle Street in Harvard Square, opened in 2014 in a basement space and known for a vegetable-forward, small-plates menu and an off-menu burger that has drawn national attention. Trina's Starlite Lounge is a Somerville lounge that opened in the Winter Hill neighborhood in 2009 and built its reputation on dive-bar food done carefully — dressed-up tater tots, baked mac-and-cheese and Southern-inflected comfort cooking — served in a small, booth-filled room that trades until 1am on weeknights and 2am at weekends. Its non-alcoholic offering is currently narrow. As of August 2026 the bar's published drinks list carries no mocktail, zero-proof or spirit-free section, and the only alcohol-free item on it is Notch Non-Alcoholic Pils from Salem, Massachusetts, at $7. The Boston Globe featured the bar in a January 2025 round-up of $5 booze-free cocktails, but that program is no longer listed. Seating is first-come, first-served, and a Sunday brunch runs from 11am.

Three kinds of evidence put a venue on this page, and each card says which. The strongest is a menu we've read: the exact beers, the price where the menu prints one, and the date we confirmed it. Next are breweries — a brewery is in this directory because it pours non-alcoholic beer, often its own. Last are venues whose own menu or copy names a specific NA brand they carry. Nothing here is inferred from a review or a vague “great NA selection”.
“Non-alcoholic” is a legal band, not a promise of zero: under 0.5% ABV in the US, with “alcohol-free” reserved for 0.0%. The big lagers (Heineken 0.0, Guinness 0.0) are labeled 0.0%; most craft NA beers sit somewhere under 0.5%. We name the brand wherever the venue does so you can check the label that matters to you.
Draft NA beer is spreading but still uncommon, so we never assume it. A pour is marked “on draft” only when the venue's menu says tap or draft; everything else should be read as cans or bottles.

Usually not quite. In the US, beer labeled "non-alcoholic" must be under 0.5% ABV — a trace level also found in some ripe fruit and kombucha — while "alcohol-free" means 0.0%. Most craft NA beers (Athletic, Best Day, Untitled Art) sit between 0.0% and 0.5%; Heineken 0.0 and Guinness 0.0 are labeled 0.0%. Rules differ abroad: in the UK "alcohol-free" is 0.05% or under and "de-alcoholised" up to 0.5%. If you avoid alcohol entirely, look for a 0.0% label — we name the brand wherever the venue does, so you can check.
